went in there yesterday-fosters has gone up 20p to 4 QUID YES 4 QUID A PINT-this must be the dearest pint of fosters in the country-if you walk across the road its 3.40-al capone must be running the show-all this and no toilet rolls or air dryer available!

nice relaxing pub handy as a warm up b4 entering artillery passage-gorfeous french barmaid-i think you will find that the middle east is part of the continent of asia-so he can actually be described as asian!

friendly staff--a few dodgy characters but pub is on the up-altho �3.20 for a fosters is dearer than the cardigan but cheaper than that dump the bow bells

this is a nice pub, staff friendly and one of the best pubs in the area if not the best however very disconcerting having arrived to it en route from the fens of eastern england where a pint of fosters can be had for �1.46 and having to shell out �3.85 for a fosters here-bizarre-thats nearly 4 quid a go!

has reverted to being a paddies pub during the week---still good boozer for a chat which can become lively--chatted to a polish guy the other week who insisted he was a forest gate native-hilarious!

amazing to me how some people can afford this to be their 2nd or should it be 1st home! everytime i visit you see the usual red faced bloated face-quite incredible!
still a good pub but toilets far too small-havent seen any coke fends for a long while so hopefully it will stay that way--could do with more live music tho.

i personally stopped going to this boozer 4 years ago because i was tired of the insulting looks and comments from sandras daughter-the christian bale clone-(i kid you not)--beer was awful then and i doubt if it has improved-full of middle class home counties twats-the sort that make you grateful for mass immigration occurring-very anti workimg class pub.

nice refurb altho this has decreased size of the venue it makes for a more intimate conversation friendly pub-wish the women in there werent so stuck up tho.

in regard to bowhammers comments-the situation hasnt been helped by traditional eastenders moving out to essex in droves over the past 20 years--pity cant think of any irish pub in the east end apart from top o the morning now.-

back open-still looks the same but new management appear friendlier and the beers are now moderately priced--ok but not terrific.

last time here was about a year ago--went to the urinals-heard a lotof breaking glass-wentupstairs to find pub windows smashed to pieces by a bengali gang of youths--pity the poor barmaid in there and the few decent folk drinking there-why is there no law and order in the devons rd/bow common area?

terrific boozer-you can have a decent conversation here-good music on saturdays-sharon is a diamond-gorgeous barmaid on a friday nite -wears minimal attire and is stunning--they do an abbott ale here but you will have to ask for it as no badges on pump.

the cornwallis is the cornwallis!no frills-take it or leave it--mature crowd always up for conversation-you may not get many high flier types here but at least they are genuine and sincere and wear their hearts on their sleeves-this nations mps could learn a lot from the customers here--beer is decent--over friendly dog tho beware..

the wentworth is a hidden gem-there used to be a pub like this on every corner of the borough 20 years ago-sadly no more as the borough has been effectively ethnically cleansed of its original cockney inhabitants by the councils right on approach to community cohesion-treasure it while it is still here.....

nice enough boozer-friendly guvnors-had a good time there friday-sadly tarnished by many of the clientele doing copious amounts of snow in the toilets-lets hope it can be kept to aminimum...otherwise nice pub.

well what can i say-good entertainment -the best barmaids in london and the most understanding of patrons--everyone is made welcome here -good selection of beers and anything out of order is forewarned-if you want to be treated like an adult not patronised or ripped off then look no further than here-wish they put some soap in the toilets tho--best pub in bethnal green
