Always a good atmosphere. A small pub, which has benefited beyond belief from the smoking ban.

Took a peek in here one saturday afternoon after being recommended it by a regular at Top Of The Morning. Wasn't dissapointed. A pub - a bit like the Palm Tree in Mile End - that has been caught in time from days gone by. Small enough that the landlady could bake sausage rolls between pints for the punters, and friendly enough that friendly east-end banter was soon enough forthcoming once it was clear I wasn't in there for just a cheeky one. Bland beer selection though, but for people who look beyond beer choices aone as their method of grading pubs then this boozer a good one.

This pub is a hidden gem and well worth seeking out. It is immaculately clean, always has a real ale on, nice furniture and friendly staff and clientele. If any of the other pubs along Devons Road were even half as good as this they would be worth visiting.

cracking pub, great staff, friendly locals.... if anyone is in the area this pub is the only one to check out, it's almost opposite devons road dlr. there are 5 pubs on devons road and this is better than all the others put together!!!
