user reviews of the Blue Anchor, Bromley

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This pub is full of weirdos and retards. Not to mention the odd kiddy fiddler. I kid you not. The pub itself looks like a shit hole from the badly decorated outside, and believe me when i say appearances aren't deceptive. This place is a fucking dive inside as well. SKY tv is installed on the premises, but why on earth any landlord would pay 1000 quid a month for sky to show it on two old crappy tvs is beyond me. Come on, get some nice big flat panel screens. Lager has gone up from £2.00 to £2.50 over night which is just a joke. The toilets are dirtier than a tramps trousers after 3 bottles of gin and a vindaloo. The place does have a darts board which is a plus. Unfortunately you have to climb over two tables every time you want to get your darts out of the board. On the plus side, a few of the locals are very friendly and are always up for a laugh which goes a long way to make up for the state of such a woeful pub.

This pub is located in Bow East London, on Bromley High St. This is a jolly old mans type of pub. Atmosphere is relaxed and full of decent locals. Nice place for a quiet peaceful drink.
