nice relaxing pub handy as a warm up b4 entering artillery passage-gorfeous french barmaid-i think you will find that the middle east is part of the continent of asia-so he can actually be described as asian!

On the down side, the KS isn't what you'd probably want from a City boozer. It lacks character and you could imgine you're in any town centre pub once inside.

Having said that, the staff are good, and the couple who run it are very friendly and always go out of their way to help you (to the poster below - the 'Asian' is Middle-Eastern). Food is standard fare, but priced OK, and never had a bad pint.

You won't go there for the 'experience', but there's a lot worse.

One of the most uninspiring pubs i've ever been in, really dull !!
The Asian chap behind the bar was nice enough, as was the two pints of London Glory i had, but don't think i'll be rushing back.

Slightly bland looking wine bar style place - shame given the history of the area - unfortunately went about 6pm on a Thursday and it was so packed you could hardly see your drink let alone the decor etc - but got served quickly and had a good range of beers etc.

Usual GK fair but the IPA was OK. The bland sterile interior is not my cup of tea but packed with after work City workers who obviously didn't mind.
The open set up makes it very noisy when busy , so only stayed for the one.
OK pub, but there are better in the close vicinity in my humble opinion.
