| I think this pub's ok and go here fairly regularly. Ok-ish beers and I didn't find the staff too offensive, as per other pub-goers. They did have a pop at my friend Trev when he asked for a fork though. Harvor - 3 Jul 2008 11:43 |

| What a lottery this pub is. Last Thursday the staff rang the bell at 10:30 for last orders (which they at first said was just a joke) and then after ten minutes told us to stop playing pool. I enquired why they were shutting early and the East European girl smiled smugly and said they were a Free House and could do what they liked. Okay so they're a Free House, but I pointed out that there's a certain expectation for customers to be able to drink until 11pm in a pub on a weekday. She said they didn't have enough customers (about 20) to stay open. The diminutive Italian bar girl then started swearing at us in Italian. We were ordered to leave the premises at 10:45. As we left the staff started pulling pints for a lock in. This could be a great pub in good hands, I especially like the paintings of early European tanks and armoured cars in the pool table area. | Popped in for a couple of jars and a sit down. Whilst other half was about to order at the bar I was asked to vacate the table(by whom it seemed was in charge)for 3 tourists as they were GOING to order food!!!! Forgive me but, food profits concidered, it's a pub and not a busy one at that (and these guys were probably never coming back). My main issue was being told rather than asked. Bizarre. Needless to say we left straight away and ended up in the White Hart where we enjoyed a fair few in peace. Seb - 10 Feb 2008 13:19 |
