The Pelton Arms, Greenwich

Visited here on a Saturday Afternoon. Nice pub with friendly staff & locals. My girlfriend & I liked the end of the pub, where it looks like somebodys lounge. The place seemed clean and tidy.

The Prince of Wales, Pimlico

I like this pub. You can go in here and nobody will disturb you if you just want a pint and to read. The staff are friendly and place is usually kept clean and tidy.

I have seen quite a few people in suits here including myself. I have not experienced any problems.

The Prince Regent, Cambridge

I try and void this pub as much as I can. It is usually full of chav's

The Plume of Feathers, Greenwich

It had started to rain so I used this as an excuse to visit the pub as we walked past. Good selection of beer. Good atmosphere, will be coming back.

The Royal Standard, Blackheath

The Royal Standard is a nice pub. I only visited it by chance, I waiting for a bus and none had come past and so I thought I would have a quick pint, in which I am glad I did.

The Pilgrim Bar & Kitchen, Kennington

Good Pub with a good Landlord. My friends and I would visit here almost every Friday.

Food is usually good, though the Lasagne could do with some flavour. Though I will give them there dues as they gave me my money back.

The Royal Oak, Vauxhall

I always pop in here when I am in Vauxhall. The staff and landlord are always friendly. Some people maybe put off the way it looks, but this is a good pub

The Hare and Billet, Blackheath

Nice pub with a good view of the heath and the pond just opposite. The staff are friendly apart from one who gave my girlfriend a strange look when ordered tea for herself. If you don't want to make tea do not advertise that you sell it!!!

This is my second visit and I am sure there will be more to follow.

The Alma, Cambridge

Visited The Alma recently where my friend has recently taken over. The pub should improve.

The Live and Let Live, Cambridge

When I am in Cambridge, I make a point of visiting The Live & Let Live. It never lets me down. The staff and locals are very friendly. I would recommend the umbels ale.

The Stag and Hounds, South Croydon

I have been here before with my girlfriend when the footy was on. The landlord was very friendly including the staff. We stayed until it was time to go.

Visited here recently with my Brother on a Bank Holiday. The place was busy with football supporters who were shouting and swearing at the TV. The women who served us was not polite and seemed that she wanted to be else where. The only high light of our time there was an old chap who was a Crystal Palace supporter through and through, who we chatted to until he went. We only stayed there for one pint as I could not wait to get out of there.

The The Rail View, South Croydon

I have visited this pub on many occasions and the staff and occupants are friendly. Place is kept clean and tidy.

The Croham Arms, South Croydon

Nothing special it had not atmosphere. Will not be going back.

9 May 2008 10:26

The Swan and Sugarloaf, South Croydon

This pub is gradually turning it self round since the re-furbish. I never realised how big this pub is until recently. A lot of potential that seems to be going to waste.

9 May 2008 10:24

The Earl of Eldon, South Croydon

Landlord seemed friendly enough but it was one of those pubs as soon as you walk in everyone stops what they are doing and looks in your direction.

9 May 2008 10:20

The Folly, South Croydon

Will not be going back in hurry.

9 May 2008 10:19

The Crown and Sceptre, South Croydon

Visited on a Bank Holiday Monday and the place was very quiet. Had a Pink of Fuller's ESB which went down like a treat.

Unfortunately I was disappointed with the dcor of the pub, seems to be the standard design for most pubs in London once they have been re-furbished. At least it was not painted battle ship grey.

The Princess of Wales, Blackheath

A very busy spot, having Shooters Hill opposite the place does prove very popular when the sun is out. Also popular with Charlton Supporters when I visited on a Saturday afternoon.

At first my girlfriend was wary about going in here because of all the supporters sitting outside, but once we got inside we were pleasantly surprised. Having found a place to sit, we ordered food, which was very nice. Though the chef seemed bad tempered having to shout to the bar staff when there was an order to go out. Getting served drinks was a task as the staff were rushed off the feet.

This place could do with some improvements i.e. more bar staff and the toilets need to be improved as they were not particularly nice.

Will visit again though. Hold on I have.

The Crown, Blackheath

Funny place this. Whilst sitting in here on a Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend enjoying a pint, the police visited the pub then went, only to be followed by another group of officers five minutes later. Don't know if this is a regular trouble spot???

The Woodman, South Croydon

I visited this pub for the first time having lived in South Croydon for two years.

I have to admit I found the pub a nice place, they had the footy on and the place was not that busy so was able to enjoy a quiet pint or two. The bar seemed friendly and the toilets were clean.

9 May 2008 09:56

O'Neills, Blackheath

I usually visit the pub just after 4pm once I have finished work. No problem getting served and the bar staff are friendly. The place is usally clean but the toilets could be improved.

Queen Edith, Cambridge

Recently I re-visited the pub over the Easter period and I can say that the place is a lot better. They have knocked the bar into one. I would usually say that is a bad idea, but it is an improvement for the pub. Also they have started doing pub grub.

Good Luck to everyone at The QE, including the dog's

;)

The Six Bells, Cambridge

Great pub. I still like to go here when I am back in Cambridge. Has a juke box and pool table to keep you entertained :)

20 Feb 2007 12:39

The Salisbury Arms, Cambridge

One of the decent pubs in the Mill Road area. Well worth a visit.

20 Feb 2007 12:32

Queen Edith, Cambridge

This place is slowly improving, though it has taken time. Many Landlords have been and gone. Also the clientele has changed considerably.

20 Feb 2007 12:30

Hogshead, Cambridge

This is now known as "The Avery" but everyone I know in Cambridge still call it "The Hogshead"

20 Feb 2007 12:20

The Spread Eagle, Cambridge

This was once a good pub until it was brought out and refitted into a bar now "The Snug."

20 Feb 2007 12:17

The Snug Bar, Cambridge

This place was far better when it was The Spread Eagle (RIP)

20 Feb 2007 12:16

The Alma, Cambridge

A great pub. I have not visited recently but I used to go there when near the bar the had an Old Red phone box with pirana's in ;)

20 Feb 2007 12:14

The Warwick, Soho

What a mistaka to maka. I have never been in such a dive before until I came across this awful place.
The prices are lousy, staff are arrogant (not sure why as this place is nothing special). The toilets were disgusting one toilet had no seat, the second toilet had a seat but s**t smeared all over the side, Urinals did not work as they were overflowing so the staff just covered them with waste paper bags. To be honest this is a no go area, plenty of other pubs close by, just walk on by and do not consider.

19 Feb 2007 14:00

The Live and Let Live, Cambridge

One of the best pubs in Cambridge for real ales. Beer is kept well, the food is good and the level of service is excellent.

19 Feb 2007 12:37

The Cricketers, Croydon

An excellent pub to visit for a Sunday drink. Been here a couple of times now. I like going here in the Summer time sitting out the front whilst watching the world go by.

5 Feb 2007 10:11

The Dog and Bull, Croydon

This is a nice little place to go. I have been here several times now and I have never been disappointed. They have a big garden out the back which is great in the summer time. The food is good and well priced. I would recommend a visit to this pub.

Hogshead, Cambridge

My second home. I know every nook & cranny, which means I spend far too much time here. A favourite haunt for Businesses that are close by mine until recently as I have now moved. But its a great place to go with friends or to make new friends. They have recently had a renovation off the place, which has made it very nice indeed. This place will always have a place in my heart.

The Druids, Cambridge

What a shame they had to play around with this place in the first place. I used to drink in this establishment when it was the Ancient Druids, where you used to get a nice pint and food. They used to brew their own beer on the premises until they decided to tart the place up and give it some daft name. I am happy they have renamed it back to Druids, but its no longer the same. Rest In Piece Ancient Druids.

15 Jul 2005 14:09

The Cross Keys, Cambridge

You better be a brave soul to enter this pub. When I first started drinking here the landlord did not say much but once he gets to know you, well lets just say you better have a sense of humour. I have seen people who have never been in there before and he sometimes has a go at them. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
