This is now known as "The Avery" but everyone I know in Cambridge still call it "The Hogshead" Kerrminator - 20 Feb 2007 12:20
The site of a famous argument between Phillips & Greaves. An anodyne fitout, no atmosphere, bog-standard microwaved generic pub food and predictable high street drink selection combine to create a truly forgettable pub experience. Quite why I always seem to meet up with P & G there is beyond me but no doubt I will spend several more miserable evenings there over the coming years. At least Parker's Piece offers lots of student-baiting for Greaves, as after a few pints of 6X he's a law unto himself. redshot - 24 Feb 2006 13:20
My second home. I know every nook & cranny, which means I spend far too much time here. A favourite haunt for Businesses that are close by mine until recently as I have now moved. But it’s a great place to go with friends or to make new friends. They have recently had a renovation off the place, which has made it very nice indeed. This place will always have a place in my heart. Kerrminator - 15 Jul 2005 15:01
Big chain pub overlooking Parker's Piece. Popular with local youngsters. You'll be lucky to get a seat at the weekends/evenings. Nothing special by any means. rah - 2 Jun 2005 16:56
