The Angel Inn, Larling

A truly excellent pub. Great beer and choices, fantastic food plus B&B and camping available. Will happily return.

The Oddfellows Arms, Pinner

Very well kept London Pride and Adnams Ghost Ship. Well run pub, friendly locals, great beer garden and a very good atmosphere. Only two pubs in Pinner however this is a very good pub and the best for visiting out of the two. 8/10.

The Edgar Wallace, Temple

There are two very good pubs near by however this is the best of the three. Excellent variation of beers and people. Every time I attend I see something new on the walls! Staff very good too. 9/10.

The Odd One Out, Colchester

A very 'old school' pub. Good range of beers and four ciders in barrels on the bar; the two I had were well kept. Friendly locals. 8/10.

The Victoria Inn, Colchester

Excellent range of beers and the ones I had all well kept. Friendly locals and good atmosphere. 8/10.

The Fat Cat, Colchester

A very good range of beers and the ones I had all well kept. Friendly locals and good atmosphere. Enjoyed the Ale House across the road too! 8/10.

The Ale House, Colchester

Excellent beer range and friendly locals. Well worth a visit. One of the best pubs in Colchester out of the 12 pubs I have visited recently.

The Black Buoy, Wivenhoe

Excellent and ever changing beer selection, all I've had been very well kept. Food is very good too. The staff are excellent. Best pub in Wivenhoe.

The Willoughby Arms, Kingston Upon Thames

Attended on Saturday 14t to watch Saracens beat Racing 92! Great result, excellent beer range and well kept. Wimbledon AFC crowd in the pub too; good banter and no trouble. Beer garden looked good. Had a chat with the landlord too on the way out; decent chap. If in the Kingston area I would certainly use this pub again.

The Pontefract Castle, Marylebone

This pub and the whole corner plot now a building site. It was a good Nicholson's establishment some time ago.

The Bishop's Finger, Barbican

Polite and friendly service. Pleasant inside, lots of seating available and chairs/tables outside too. Spitfire spot on. One of the better pubs in the area.

The Crown And Two Chairmen, Soho

Visited last night for an Addlestones cider session on the first floor. Great fun and the Addlestones was excellent. The pub was full, a good atmosphere and several ales on offer. I'd visit again.

The Nellie Dean of Soho, Soho

Visited last night for a 'quick one'. Had two pints of 6X, which was in good condition. Efficient service and I managed to get a seat. Nothing special however I would visit again.

The Prince Blucher, Twickenham

To the staff of the PB and Fullers; thank you. The Pride was spot on, good service, nice pub and a good sized beer garden, which was wonderful to sit in on Saturday night after the rugger. Excellent.

Williams Wine and Ale House, Hoxton

One of the best pubs in the area. Just had a (lunch time) pint of well kept IPA. Good polite service. Sky news showing. Nice interior and clean. Worth a visit if in the area.

All Bar One, Houndsditch

Just been for a 'business lunch'. Service efficient. Drinks arrived 2 minutes after order. Draught Aspalls spot on. Simple lunch good in taste, cooked to my liking. A little on the small side so expensive for the amount.

In an ABO you should expect a standard as they are a chain; this establishment was good. Clean, efficient but nothing out of the ordinary. Staff not rude on this visit and we were waited on by two people.

6 out of 10 for this visit. I would go again however there are many better pubs in the area.

The Fox, Hanwell

By far the best pub in Hanwell and surrounding area. Well kept beers, good service and atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

The Bree Louise, Euston

A first time visit on Friday night with a friend. Too many beers to mention; the ones we had were all in good condition. Excellent service despite the amount of people inside and outside of the pub. Did not try any cider however overheard some good compliments and people going back for more. Great atmosphere, clean toilets and a fun time; I will return. The only issue I can see happening is that on a wet day the inside will be rammed..

The Flask, Highgate

An old pub that looks great and is the part of 'old' Highgate. Well kept beers. Service on the night polite and efficient.

2 Jul 2009 16:49

The Magpie, Bishopsgate

Good service. Food good for price/location. Excellent range of beers and the ones I've had all well kept. Fun standing outside watching the 'scenery'! The best pub in the area.

The Star Tavern, Belgravia

A truely excellent pub. Beers always spot on. Comfortable with an excellent service.

The George, Pinner

It's the King George IV. Beers not well kept. Service very average. Better off going to the Oddellow Arms or the Queen's Head.

14 Oct 2008 19:03

The Oddfellows Arms, Pinner

Good atmosphere. Pride good. Nice garden. Good polite service. Only one ale; surely two beers on tap would be possible?

14 Oct 2008 19:00

The Queen's Head, Pinner

An ok pub. Service good the last few times I've been in there. Last pint of Abbot spot on. Good selection of ales. Rather dark and narrow bar area so can be difficult to get served.

The Artillery Arms, Old Street

Went here on a weekday evening. Servered quickly and efficiently. Had two good pints of IPA. Good atmosphere. If in the area worth a visit...and not much else around!
