The Red Lion, Withington

this place is excellent and is well worth a look just for the staff, they must be hiring from a dam modelling agency, o nice beer also.

Lounge, Chorlton cum Hardy

Pricey, shite beer, poor food, and crap staff, but they have a roulette machine in there and that drags me in every time, but last time I took 120 out of it an the bar staff wouldnt pay out cause they didnt have enought to cover it, poor effort

The Marble Beer House, Chorlton cum Hardy

A nice bar, good atmos even though the people are a little skitish, I went in there with a friend of mine who is a bit of an ale can and he scared nearly everyone in the place, but the bar staff still had a laff with it. The beer on tap aint to hot but the bottled stuff is good value and a good range. Well worth a look before you head of somewhere else, but not a place id recommend for the long slog.

The Iguana Bar, Chorlton cum Hardy

There seems to be a theme that this boozer is expensive, and thats right even by chorltons standards this place is pricey. but its not a place that I would recommend going just for a quick bevy. find out when theres something going on and then go then. The atmosphere is good and the folk music is to die for, this is a real winner when it comes to music.

The Spread Eagle, Chorlton cum Hardy

No no no no no, even as far as joey holts pubs go you have got to give this bad boy a miss. You can get a good pint of joeys but it aint here. best thing to do with this place is walk by real quick like

The Beech Inn, Chorlton cum Hardy

If this pub was a good size it would be and ale cans dream. Footy is on almost all the time and you often get someone punching up with some pipes or a guitar, a real old irish or scotish feel its nice. And on the plus side unlike most pubs in chorlton the real ale is superb, althought they do have a tendancy to run out of spirits from time to time, never mind, If you need somewhere away from the grungy locals or your craving a good ale get down their, but be aware, standing is almost a cert.

The Horse and Jockey, Chorlton cum Hardy

Its amazing how far this pub has fallen from grace, was the best boozer in Chorlton now its just plain arse. Sunday nites are still about the only excuse to go in this boozer because DJ Keneth is a living legend, but other than that avoid at all costs, the beer and larger is god aweful and thats when you do manage to get served. This once again could be a great boozer but it needs some real work.
