| I recently had a birthday party in The Spead Eagle, and i had previously discussed all aspects of the night with the landlady. The prices were very reasonable and the room is a great size. I found on the night the room had been decorated for me and the buffet food was all waiting to be uncovered. I found the D.j that had been suggested by the landlady to be very experienced and catered for all ages at the party. The food was fresh and light just as i had asked. The bar staff were very chatty and polite and I was always served with a smile. At the end of the night I stayed in a double room, which i had booked the day I booked the party. The room was of a high standard, the sheets were clean and the bed was made. The bathroom was clean and smelt fresh. I have no complaints about the night and i am very happy that i decided to go with this venue as the pub has been highly recommended before by a few friends. I suggest if you are looking to book an event that you choose this venue, what more could you ask for, reasonable prices, lovely staff, clean accomadation and everything you ask for plus more!!! | visied a wedding which the after do was being held at this pub. i found the room wasnt as expected. the manager was very interfering and caused atmosphere. also food was late and it want wat it was made out to be. the guests wasnt aloud to get their own meals it was dished out to them. then there wasnt enough. the buffet was late and also wasnt enough and bar staff an the dj the managers son his friend an gf was helping themselves. the dj was rubbish didnt know what to do. i would NOT recommend this pub to anybody while under that landlady. also the arrangements was sorted but at the end of night manager took it upon herself to try and get more money by sayin she wanted extra and by charging people double for drinks saying they hadnt paid them........ very poor organisation effort and approach stace10 - 16 Aug 2010 21:41 |
