Once in a while your humble narrator feels the need to explore "Bohemia", where the hipsters choose to go. Chorlton being Manchester's version of such a place, I ventured in and found myself in a small space, the walls adorned by strange paintings from a local "artist".

The one room is comfortable enough and service is brisk and efficient. Drank a couple of stouts, one from Marble and a guest, both palatable. Acceptable but the Arch is a much better pub and closer to the city centre, although prices are similar!

Is this place worth a visit from manchester city centre? If so what are the best public transport options? Train or bus? Anyone know bus number routes etc? Is it as expensive as the Marble Arch on Rochdale Road?

Cheers

I went there couple of times but often so its near my flat which is about 2 mins walk. I guess the pub is pretty good and liked the atomphere of it. I never knew one guest ale got chocolate in it!!! I'm still scared to drink that.

Easy to miss it the first time, which I did. But worth finding. More like a bar than a pub but the range of beer was good. Busy but a comfortable feel, no music.
