Pricey, shite beer, poor food, and crap staff, but they have a roulette machine in there and that drags me in every time, but last time I took £120 out of it an the bar staff wouldnt pay out cause they didnt have enought to cover it, poor effort

The place was far better in its original form. Still a great place though. Comfy sofa's. Makes you wanna stay longer. Good atmosphere. Food is nothing to be proud, but you can get a descent pint (if you have the chedder)

Well, since the re-furb, the food has gone to the dogs - or should do. i was absolutley disgusted with their excuse of a "sunday lunch" & what kind of a chef is employed to destry food? they have taken ruining food to an art form. The "roast beef" was of the plastic variety that can be purchased from costco for £2.99 to feed 50, can be kept in the freezer for 6 years, the "roast" potatoes were deep fried????
he veg was fine, but frozen (acceptable) the gravy had large particles of granules in it - seive it you idiots!!! then stir in a bit of mustard - why??
anyway, you get the idea - vvvvv disappointing.
the rest of the menu looked dire, beyond dire - take your pick of frozen lasagne, chilli, burgers of fish & chips - no, don't bother yourselves.
as a bar it is okay, but please please please do not imagine for a milisecond that it is a restaurant. the refurb is okay, but the artwork is questionable.
and after spotting the owners, the whole shebang is not a surprise. do these people watch gordon ramsey's prog. well they should do, and stop inflicting their ideas of "food" on other people who could make better themselves at home - i defy anyone to not be capable. i suppose it isn't necessary for me to say that i will never be going there again, i really wouldn't want anyone else to have to eat there either.
