The Angel and Crown, Leicester Square

Great little place for a cheeky one before the theatre. Good drink selection and quick service at a very busy time.

Babel, Clapham Junction

Had a great time here the other night. Love the look of the place and the food was pretty good as well. Can't wait for the summer so they can open up the front.

Ember, Farringdon

Great to have Ember open again. Doesn't look much different but thats not a bad thing. Impressed with the service and I love the outside patio at the back.

The Roundhouse, Covent Garden

Went in here and felt like I was on some dodgy council estate pub. Clientele left a lot to be desired. Took a long time to get served due to incompetant bar staff.

The Nags Head, Covent Garden

Far too packed for my liking - took ages to get served. Probably alright at quiter times

The Dolphin Tavern, Bloomsbury

Average kind of place really. Does what it says on the tin. Wouldn't make an effort to go again.

All Bar One, Covent Garden

Boring! You've seen one you've seen them all. You'd expect it to be different in Covent Garden but still seems to attract the chav element.

The Pillars of Hercules, Soho

Are you sure you were at the right pub Kiwi? I work in Soho square and use this place for lunch at least twice a week. I've always thought the food was good in here and never had a problem with the staff.

Ochre, St Pauls

Really welcoming for an early evening drink. They do this thing called a "Smooth-tail" which is like a cross between a smoothie and a cocktail. Delicious!!

The Oakhill Tavern, Beckenham

A breath of fresh air in Beckenham. Can't fault it. Good service, beers and food and it seems to attract a mature, friendly clientele.

Metro Bar and Canteen, Holloway

A breath of fresh air on the Holloway road. I don't know why I haven't been here before. You normally find a load of undesirables in pubs in this area but felt totally unthreatened in here. Good selection of drinks and the pizza's are to die for!

The Longford, Hampton Hill

It's always nice to be in clean, modern surroundings. Had a cocktail or two in there on Tuesday night and stayed much longer than I should have! Would recommend.

The Haven, Ealing

Very suprised to read these comments - I had a great time there on Thursday night. Friendly chap behind the bar and a good selection of drinks. No reason not to go there again. Maybe it's new management?

The Green Man and French Horn, Covent Garden

I've been using this place for an after work drink for a few months now and it really is the best place in the area away from the tourists. They've just put in an impressive new menu too.

The Grasshopper Inn, Moorhouse

Took Mum here for Mother's day and we all had a great time. Food was delicious and although it was packed, we really didn't have to wait long to be served. We'll definatley come here again.

The Essex Serpent, Covent Garden

Really good to find a traditional English pub amongst a load of high end poncy bars. Great service and good food. Ideal central meeting place.
