Quirky but excellent pub - now known as Mad O'Rourke's Pie Factory. Well-kept and reasonably-priced ales from Digbrew. Novel and tasty range of pies. On Wednesdays a 'buy one, get one free' offer makes eating very good value. A must visit when in the area. 10/10.

Quite surprised with the fairly low rating on this one. Decent choice of ales (can never remember the names just drink em!) granted quite pricey though. Nice interior and exterior. Foot brilliant and fairly priced. Owner seemed sound asking we were ok and the staff behind the bar polite. Sky sports on in the bar area.

Well kept ales, albeit a limited range. Passable food. Beer and food outrageously expensive for a fairly crappy Black Country pub

have to say the pub itself is a lovely and quirky place with a great interior.we ordered two pints of gk/morland old golden hen which was actually divine and was �5.67 with 10% camra discount for the two pints,my mate ordered a pie with the pastry horns and everything that looked the dogs bollox and apparantly tasted good but at a tenner i wasnt convinced,one thing i have to agree with is the sons totally uninterested service supplied by the barmaid and the bulldogess lady at the food "hatch" 7/10

awful awful awful went in ordered beer completely sour had my money back from miserable bar staff as I walked out they were still serving the same off beer get a grip owners !!

not really very impressed, filthy ripped seating, poor quality over priced food, tables to close together no arm room, dirty toilet,s, no i dont think i will bother going there again, certainly would not recommend it to anyone, ratings out of ten, O, thats all its worth

Beer was reasonable but that's all I can say about this cheerless dump. I was served our drinks by an ignorant sour faced woman and then sent to another hatch to order food from a man who was only capable of the occasional hostile grunt while he took my �17 for two pie and chips meals.
When the food came it was bland, undercooked and very average.
Needless to say I will never return

Decent pint of Lump Hammer and the food very good. A nice place to visit for the "experience" of the Cow Pie, sawdust, handpulls and quirky decor

i did not think much of this pub, got a cold feel to it, the foods not that magical, and the people suck.

Had to wait an age to get served (and then it wasn't even a full pint). Unsavoury youths in the Bar

Overpriced food. Not as good as it used to be.

This was once a fantastic pub with great food and beer and music and i was a regular. however the latest owners have ruined it. they put the prices of the food and beer up, took half the good food off the menu, it's now got a mass produced poor quality feel to it and definately NOT value for money. also they keep exactly the same cd on repeat constantly. it might be busy and full of atmosphere at a weekend but is only recommeneded if you like being forced to stand up and get jostled by rowdy hen parties and drunken groups off the black country beer bus and wait an age to get served at the bar and listen to the same band that played last week doing exactly the same set.

Extremely good value food, comparable beer, friendly(ish) service. Gets VERY busy but this only reflects its status as the best pub for miles
