The Old Swan, Netherton

Superb pub. Tope quality home-brewed ales. The Original (3.5% abv) was refreshing and very tasty - and just £2.40 a pint. The food was also excellent with a large plate of braised lamb's liver and streaking bacon with mash and four different vegetables and gravy for just £6.25. A great place with a friendly welcome and loads of character. 10/10.

Dog and Doublet, Wolverhampton

Enjoyed a decent pint of Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild. Nothing special about the pub itself. 6/10.

The Great Western, Wolverhampton

Excellent pub. A few years since I was last there but yesterday I saw it has gone from strength to strength. Great ales in tip-top condition, a real sun trap outside drinking area and excellent value local food such as gray pays and bacon. A 'must visit' when in Wolverhampton. 10/10.
