The Crown, Cookham

Too good for local people wearing polo shirts now apparently. I will probably avoid for as long as this policy remains.

The Eel Pie, Twickenham

Looking forward to visiting for the traditional pre-Babas drinks.

The Hare and Hounds, Marlow

Sadly now shut again.

The Chequers, Marlow

Nice pub with two bars, one just for drinking the the other for eating and drinking. Good ales in Wynchwood and Brakspears. The quality of the ale is good, I had one pint that was end of barrel and it was exchanged without question. (take note Two Brewers!) I have also eaten a couple of their steaks and they were very good. Management appear to be excellent.

The Two Brewers, Marlow

Oh dear what has happened here. I have tried to give it a go but the Two Brewers, the local I loved, is gone. It has been replaced by seriously surly staff, customers without shirts and to be honest poor food. The beer was still good quality. That is about all I can say.

The Hare and Hounds, Marlow

Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening in there a couple of weeks ago. We didn't try the food but the Braks was of excellent quality, the bar staff were friendly. They also had live music on which is good to see. We would certianly go back.

The Plough, Long Wittenham

Visited there on Saturday and were more than happy with everything they had to offer. 5 of us ate and were all impressed with our meals - good solid pub grub and very reasonably priced. Only tried the Butcombe ale but it was superb. Also found the bar man and waiting staff to be friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this pub whether it's from a boat or if you're passing.

The Coach and Horses, Marlow

With regard to the below review, it isn't the sort of pub I would expect an American family to like, they should have chosen somewhere else to go instead. It is very much a locals pub (perhaps one of the most local pubs in Marlow) and yes it does serve Chinese food; which is also very good. I agree it may not have had alot of work done on it for a while but I think thr locals like it this way. It's ale, whether Fuller or Brakspears, is also very well kept.

The Firefly, Bourne End

Good pub this with fine beer and a pleasant ambience.

The Anchor, Henley-On-Thames

darrendrinker I think you're confusing this with the Angel on the Bridge. The Anchor does not have a garden overlooking the Thames.

The Chequers, Marlow

It appears to be under management now and has improved alot since my below comment.

The Angel On The Bridge, Henley-On-Thames

Expensive beer from a plastic glass, if it weren't by the river why bother.

Royal Blenheim, Oxford

Good beers and friendly landlord at current time. A little find if you like this sort of place and wouldn't say dead after 9 anymore. Good food served too.

The Gloucester Arms, Oxford

Real good pub if you can find it, a great secret with good staff and a real atmosphere unlike a few pubs in Oxford. Every visit to Oxford takes me back here.

The Old Tom, Oxford

Enjoyed a lovely pint of Ale in there from friendly staff. Some of the decor not to my taste as posters 'of old' but generally a very nice pub in my opinion.

The Royal Oak, Maidenhead

Cracking pub with good beer and excellent food - seriously good food.

The Rising Sun, Hurley

Good little boozer, well kept beer and friendly locals.

The Row Barge, Henley-On-Thames

Cracking pub, nicely hidden out of the way from visitors but a good bunch of locals. Well kept ale, good well priced food and not a bad (if a little cemented) garden in the summer.

The Queens Head, Henley-On-Thames

Overpriced buta good atmosphere makes it a good place to spend an evening. Good live bands too.

The Two Brewers, Marlow

Great food, great bar snacks and very well kept ale. The atmosphere is very good and the pub goers in there are all friendly. My favourite pub.

The Bear, Oxford

What a find. Stopped in there one Saturday whilst looking aroudn a few Oxford pubs and this was the best we found. A bit on the small side but a cracking pint of Braks and very good friendly staff. Will definitely be heading back in the summer to spend a day there.

The Ship, Marlow

Great pub, good landlord. Alot of the clientelle are not to my taste being a bit pretentious INHO butthen they probably don't like me either. Best thing about it is the cracking garden in the summer.

The Anchor, Henley-On-Thames

It's Horses for courses. I think the landlord and lady of this pub are wonderful as are the staff. Good beer, good garden and tasty food.

Hogshead, Marlow

Cracking pub, great for viewing the football, cheap well turned out beer and at the moment the best staff in Marlow. Fair enough it is not to everyone's taste and perhaps not somewhere you would gofor a quiet pint but I would recommend this place highly.
