| Visited wholely on the basis of the last review. While generally I can see why people recommend it (the barman was friendly, and in the summer I imagine it's quite idyllic to sit outside) I thought it was fairly run-of-the-mill. | A traditional English pub in the best style. Good beer, good food, a very pleasant landlord and staff and reasonable car park. Came across it by chance looking for lunch with my wife and we were both delighted with it. local131 - 23 Nov 2006 14:42 |
| Haven't been here for years, but it still sticks in my mind as one of the best Thames-side pubs that I've been to. Very welcoming to holiday cruisers. Good food, good atmosphere. I must go back again and see if it's still lovely. RobMcC - 3 Mar 2006 15:19 |
