No stars for this place if I could. At all. My work colleague and I were just asked to leave, before we had even opened our mouths, for wearing 'work wear'!!!! We argued but were told that this is the company policy! What a complete joke! We had literally come from work on a hot and sunny day, wearing hi-vis trousers. I have never been so insulted in my life! Its not like we were covered in mud or anything. We even offered to drink outside, but we weren't even served. To make matters worse, at least 5 guys were outside with their tops off. Which is more offensive?! Instead, go to the White Oak down the road. Amazing pub and lovely people. They laughed when we told them of our experience, and said that it has been happening for a few weeks now. Some guys who had exactly the same experience as us took it to the national press. Good on them! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2139018/Farm-workers-banned-pub-Britains-richest-villages-wearing-casual-trousers-shirts.html hoopyfrood - 23 May 2012 19:13
Too good for local people wearing polo shirts now apparently. I will probably avoid for as long as this policy remains. Muntjac - 4 May 2012 13:53
I read this morning if you a working person and wear a Polo shirt with a logo of a local working farm you will not be served in case you scare away is local millionaire clientele lowtrees - 4 May 2012 08:51
Suggest Maldenman stops his car next time he passes by. It's definitely a pub (although it serves food too). Very popular on Summer afternoons. A bit dead in the Winter. mungojerryuk - 21 Nov 2009 21:40
I note this business is unrated here. It looks like it needs to remain so, its a restaurant not a pub. Maldenman - 25 Sep 2009 21:07
