A bit like a Harvester only with less charm and amazingly the staff actually manage to be even less interested in you or anything you might actually need. God forbid you interrupt the conversation with their friends to buy something or be waiting before someone they know turns up because you'll be ignored until the full quota of their mates has been serviced. There's a rich selection of disgruntled youth looking a bit leary outside in the dirty smoking zone. The beer itself comes in plastic glasses and somehow magically all seems to taste the same whether it's lager or ale. It's very very horrible in almost every imaginable way. jamie_fixit - 8 Dec 2007 15:48
dirty, smelly, you wouldn't eat here if you'd have seen the kitchen. Check the zombies around the pool table at the week end, heavily pregnant in boots and short skirt.Horrible all the way through... theinsideman - 29 May 2007 23:20
As in most Eldridge Pope pubs the beer selection is fairly predictable and nothing special. Beer is served in plastic glasses which, for me, puts the place out of bounds. This is becoming more of a problem as violence in Bournemouth has led to a campaign for their use. (not the place you thought it was eh?)If you want good real ale you really should be in the nearby Porterhouse. The Sunday carvery is OK and fair value. pxk99 - 6 May 2007 17:38
Shame about plastic glasses, but the friendly staff help to make the place a reasonable place to drink.Food generally okay, Looks like a few of the troubleome guys have been got rid off & the atmosphere is definately better. Avoid the one down the road (Westbourne) at all costs GRAFTER - 11 Dec 2006 22:32
used to use this place when it was a real pub...Remember Brockie.? Shame it,s such a sh##hole now. EP should raze it to the ground and start again. Food is disgusting, beer is bloody awful, service is non existent. geebee - 21 Nov 2006 16:14
