Well, I think the previous review must have been a bad day for this Pub. I have just been and and had a great time. They have now put sky tv in and Pool/darts so always pretty busy. My smoking mates were pretty happy with the facility out the back so no moaning there. We visited their comedy club following a few pints of Ringwood ale and had a top night. The staff were very helpful and helped us with taxis and sent us on to a great late drink bar after. Make sure you pop in at least once.

I first came here in November 06 and it was brilliant, busy, with friendly and welcoming staff.
Unfortunately not too sure what has happened since February. The staff seem to have no personality anymore, and the place is just dead. I ate there in March, and food was just about bearable, now it is even worse.
There are none of the faces i recognise from my first and subsequent visits and none of the personality that made this a place I used to make an effort to come to.
All in a shame to see a good pub go bad, what has happened to the old management????

Just discovered they do a curry and a quiz night all rolled in to one night. Amazing curry, really funny quiz (didn't make me feel too stupid and it was only a fiver for all of it.
I couldn't think of a better way to spend my Monday nights. Well done all at the Pig.

Well after reading some mixed reviews I thought I would give it a shot. We ate in the restaurant and I plumped for the Fillet steak, whilst (amusingly after reading a review on here) my wife went for the gnocci (dumpling in Italian!). My steak was cooked the perfect medium rare, with juice flowing with every cut. The taste was overwhelming, and whats more they were happy to substitute the mushrooms for onion rings!!! As for my wifes gnocci it was the first time she had shut up for more than 2 minutes!!! She enjoyed it that much! It wasnt served with bread, but it was requested to mop up the mouth watering spinach and ricotta sauce!!
The staff there were really attentive and could not do enough for us and to walk in to a restaurant to be met with a smile and warm welcome really sets you up for a good night.
One last night was the beer, I had a lovely pint of Ringwood best, followed by a pint of Porter. Both of them were what I expect from a real ale, clean, crisp, with a smooth drinkability!
Fantastic night, fantastic pub, fantastic pub.
All my friends have been told!!!
Maybe I will see you there soon
