Now all boarded up, and apparently closed... kaf28 - 1 Jul 2007 21:49
I really like this pub. A bit scary from the outside but not bad at all inside...yea there's a mix of people but that's half the fun. Depends what you're after, kind of has a social club like feel-generally friendly staff, decent pool table, sports TV's. I reckon good for a day time drink, maybe not a full eve...Not a bad place to start the pub crawl though before winding your way to Hammersmith or Fulham! vlb - 1 Aug 2006 14:01
This pub is full of people who grew up on estates (both types, the 5000 acres in Berkshire type, and the council type). The middle classes go down the road to the Cumberland. Great fun pub with lively Aussie tottie behind the bar. davebrooky - 16 Jun 2006 14:17
Despite the focus on sport, its a pretty average pub - at times it has seemed a favourite amongst a few locals that start at 9 in the morning, the kitchen either seems to be out of order, or preferably that way. Standard lagers on tap with a few bottles of standard aussie export for the bar staff. Its got a pool table though. Apparently there is a club type thing that kicks off upstairs - good knife fights up there? CSIdrinker - 4 May 2006 15:58
I used to live quite near this pub and hardly ever went in. It didn't appeal and still doesn't: lots of TV screens, no decent beer, and with the (then) newly-refurbished Cumberland just up the road there was no reason to go there. beeronaut - 4 Apr 2006 15:46
