Another brewery closure after making more money from selling the lease for development rather than running a pub..scandalous especially from a small brewer. Clivers - 19 Sep 2008 19:31
Yes I do think they are crazy - I am the ex Landlady! Please see our website www.thegrouseandclaret.co.uk for more news on why it was forced to close. We will be posting more details in the very near future. Many thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments. kristinfoord - 3 Mar 2008 14:12
Are they crazy? This was the best pub in Victoria! How could they shut this down?!?! What can we do to change this? I see that the pub is boarded up, but there is no work or anything going on. Is it for sale? blueberry_sun - 28 Feb 2008 13:47
I went there last Friday for a quick beer after lunchtime and was gutted to find this place closed and boarded up. davetheaddick - 25 Feb 2008 21:32
I mean no-one would shed a tear in the rubbish Talbot next door shut, but this is truly awful. It can't have been unprofitable, as it was always packed. I guess it wasn't profitable 'enough'. An offer they couldn't refuse, etc etc. Tragic is the only word. Planner_21 - 31 Jan 2008 21:31
