The review below (by Badgerballs) is an obvious attempt to discredit a fine pub. Never having been myself, I still object to blatant lies - I speak as a former Queens Lifeguard when I say they would never indulge in such behaviour in a pub toilet. A friend of mine was a regular for years, said they had the best ales in London. He only stopped going when the landlord's chronic halitosis began to spoil the beer. senberbex - 17 Oct 2007 10:51
Regarded as one of the closest pubs to Buckingham Palace, the Kings Arms has a few skeletons in its cupboard. It is frequented by fresh off duty Palace Guards. They say that the black helmets they wear are made from bear skin; well I saw a few bare-skinned helmets in the gents! Those bogs are the bumming capital of the world. Also, being a dragon of St George does not grant you licence to chase the dragon. The amount of tin foil and needles in the urinals is a disgrace! badgerballs - 16 Oct 2007 17:13
What to make of The Kings Arms? Well, I paid a visit last Friday (5th Oct) and left a satisfied customer. The interior is rather rustic and homely and grabbing a section all to myself in the corner, I found the place to have a definite cosiness. I wish they’d paint the yellow smoke-stained wallpaper though. Ales on offer included Young’s Bitter, London Pride and an expertly poured (at least it was for me!) Bombardier. Fellow clientele seemingly tend to be local workers and the odd tourist. To round things off, I would like to add that the jukebox was well stocked. Expect to here, rock, pop and classics from yesteryear. I don’t think I could withstand a session in here, but a quick visit certainly won’t disappoint. HTM69 - 7 Oct 2007 13:12
Used to be a really good pub years ago but unfortunately a succession of bad managers has made it one the worst pubs in the area beercritic - 5 Aug 2007 08:51
