| I was in there on a saturday evening and found it very quiet. *In fact the bar staff almost out-numbered the customers. Nice place, however, and the berr was fine, if the choice was limited (only one hand pump working and an understocked fridge). I would go back, though. ZapuTheSnake - 12 Feb 2010 17:21 |
| Good news (I think). The Albert has re-opened! We called in today (4th September) and were told the pub re-opened about a week ago. The bar area has been refurbished but the handpumps are still there and they plan to have guest beers. The kitchen is being refitted/brought up to date and they hope to be serving food very soon. We didn't stay long enough to have a pint as we had to catch a train. Unable to rate the pub at this point, but it looks promising. Worth another recce. Chrissy_G - 4 Sep 2009 21:51 |

The Albert is a warm and friendly place,where you can meet down to earth people....I'm an American that comes once a year to visit friends that live nearby...The owners Kate & Nick treats me like family from the first time i visited in 2004....It seems like i've known Kate & Nick more than the four years that i've been coming to the Albert...
