A Good Beer Guide Entry. Quite average, typical pubby interior. Won't be remembered for too long.

Friendly welcome and efficient service. Revisionist Irish Peated Ale, Holden's Black Country Mild and Draught Bass. Food is hearty, home-cooked and excellent value. Well worth a visit. 10/10.

Large and fairly open-plan pub with a choice of 3 ales - Bass, Holdens Mild and a Tomos Watkins beer. The barmaid took an eternity to serve us, despite there being hardly anybody in. We were on the verge of leaving when she finally turned to serve us. Seemed a reasonable pub, apart from that.

A large open style hotel bar which is more pub like than your average hotel bar. Tried a pint of Gangly Ghoul (not sure who the hell brews it) which was okay though nothing special. Another of those old school (with older folk) type of large town centre pubs that hasn't been modified to attract the brats or circuit crowd.

Nice interior, pleasant friendly barmaid, obviously popular with the older generation for lunches. Also a pint of excellent Holden's Mild for 2.20. Maybe I called at a good time, but no complaints from me.
