Been to the lamb this weekend and yet again had an absolutely fantastic meal. They were very busy and although we had not booked the landlady went out of her way to fit us in. The traditional Roast Beef was fantastic, better than I've had anywhere before, and so much of it!!!! My friends had their Badger Ale Haddock & chips, Homemade lasagne and Haddock & prawn Mornay and despite the huge portions, not a scrap was left. All brilliant. It is aslo good that the lamb inn offers a varied Childrens menu, not all chips, chips, chips! We love the Lamb Inn, we always feel welcome and look forward to our next visit. busymum - 3 Aug 2008 21:38
We visited this pub after a day at the beach, we drove past the signs advertising 'Good Pub Food'! We stopped there for a meal and to be honest was greatly disapointed. I went and placed my order and a very frosty lady semi greeted me, althrough my stay at the pub she was particularly unhelpful and everything I asked for seemed to much hassle for her, I found this out of order especially when I was paying over the odds for my food anyway. We spent 33 pounds on 2 beers, 1 glass of wine and fish and chips for two which I found was very expensive! Apparantly The Lamb Inns fish and chips are famous but I really didn't understand why. I have tasted better from a fish and chip shop and for half the price. My partners arrived with items missing, there was no offer of would you like any sauces, would you like any thing else, can I get you a drink, is everything ok for you... Nothing at all!! If you want my opinion your better off not stopping at all here, keep driving past and don't believe the signs on the side of the road. Well below average on pretty much everything. Save your money and buy some food else where. awinsey - 28 Jul 2008 16:58
We went to the Lamb for drinks and dinner, the drinks were fine however the food left a lot to be desired. The Pork, apple and cider sausages were, by the landlady's admission "not very apple-y" and upon complaining about the grit found in a caesar salad, the barman informed me that "lettuce grows in the ground" which may be the source of the grit. Another meal in the group had an errant Lamb sausage appear on their pork only order however the pub refused to make a positive identity on that particular item. A nice pub overall, but spoilt by a possibly unlucky dining experience. thegavster - 24 May 2008 21:12
Yet another great meal! Had not been in for a while but yet again the food was fantastic and the staff so obliging. Took some friends that had not been there before and they agree with us that the Food at the Lamb inn cannot be beaten! While my friends opted for Steaks (which were cooked to perfection!) I tried the butterfish which was out of this world. My husband tried another sausage & mash combination which was delicious. We always know that we will have a good meal out whenever we visit the Lamb. busymum - 30 Apr 2008 20:03
had a good night on friday, great crowd in good to see the faces............... pity about the arse hole complaining to the landlady because she reserved a table in the bar for a disabled lady......said he wouldnt come back, he won't be missed i'm sure none us locals like him anyway! nice food and we are back in tomorrow for the quiz j. sausage - 17 Mar 2008 11:53
