Had lunch here in September, apart from the barmaid deciding to finish her shift halfway through our order and then another deciding to do the hoovering while we were having lunch, it was fine.

Been to the Lamb Inn 3 times now with the family and always had a great lunch, the fish and chips is great, the home made burgers too. All reasonably priced. Very friendly staff, children friendly and affordable good food for them too. Pleasant garden at rear and front, albeit right next to road at front. Great all round pub, worth a visit on way to or way back from the beach or any other time. Only couple of beers on this time, Sussex Ale and Badger, the Sussex was very good.. Highly recommended

We have just been for a walk to the beach at West Wittering and popped in the Lamb Inn on the way home, we had our two dogs with us as well and is nice that some pubs still let dog inside and even had dog biscuits on the bar which was great and I have never seen this before. We had lunch I had the sea bass from the specials board and my partner had the lambs liver which we both really enjoyed. The chap behind the bar was very friendly and talkative and made us feel very welcome. If your heading to the beach worth a pop in.

We have just had another lovely meal at the Lamb Inn Wittering, the fish and chips are great ! also being able to have the light bite menu is a bonus as the normal menu fish is huge! Thursday night locals night buy one get one free is proving very popular we only just managed to get a table.
We would also recommend the steaks!
The landlord has now been in this pub for just under 2 years and has really made a diffeence to the local community, I am glad to say even in the current climate we still like to treat ourselves to a good meal.

On driving back from a beautiful day on West Wittering beach we decided to stop at The Lamb Inn, my wife went to look at the menu and first impressions where quite pricey.
We decided to stay, and sat in the front garden, there is a rear patio garden, small front garden and ample seating inside (along with car parking), the rear patio was quite busy, inside was empty and the front odd people.
My wife ordered Caesar salad 7.95 upgraded by 1 by having chicken 8.95 total, I after much consideration picked monster haddock and chips, with peas, after the menu advised it was freshly dipped in batter 9.99.
My wife had glass of Sauv Blanc which was disappointingly served from the dregs of one bottle and a fresh one to fill the glass!!
I ordered bottled water, no mistakes possible here!
After a 40 minute wait (on what was a fairly quiet period) the food arrived, I put it down to the freshly made batter etc.
To say I was shocked at what was served was an understatement, the Caesar salad was a one variety lettuce leaf, a few croutons, a few shavings of parmesan cheese and some dressing, along with half a chicken breast, it looked awful and so small.
So for 7.95 and no chicken beware!!
My fish was a good portion, but it is highly unlikely it was freshly dipped in batter, simply as the batter had a smooth processed appearance; the fish was meaty, but flavourless.
The chips where contract chips, and dry and fluffy texture inside, with the peas being the contract frozen variety, very disappointing.
The batter left a yellow gunk on the fish, from either the batter or poor oil.
