The Refectory, Godalming

Much better as a pub since new owners Brunning and Price took over last year. 6 ales on draft the last couple of times I've been in. All seem to be very well kept. They seem to try and keep most beers local which is good to see. Bar area larger than previously and a bit more of a pub feel, albeit a very large pub . restaurant still. Great character. Friendly staff. Havent tried the food yet, sounds great, although quite pricey. Its in Milford, not Godalming.

The Lamb Inn, West Wittering

Been to the Lamb Inn 3 times now with the family and always had a great lunch, the fish and chips is great, the home made burgers too. All reasonably priced. Very friendly staff, children friendly and affordable good food for them too. Pleasant garden at rear and front, albeit right next to road at front. Great all round pub, worth a visit on way to or way back from the beach or any other time. Only couple of beers on this time, Sussex Ale and Badger, the Sussex was very good.. Highly recommended
