Seafront restaurant. probably not worth it if you just fancy a pint or two as the queues can be biblical.

Free house in a picturesque village near Chichester Harbour. 4 ales: all from different small breweries in the South. Summer Lightning was the only name I recognised, but they all looked interesting. In good condition, and reasonably priced for the location. Efficient and polite service. On a summer Sunday there were many people eating, but it definitely still felt like a non-poncy pub rather than a gastro-venue.

Has the feel of nice old village pub but looks like it is food led as most of the pub it laid out for dining. Had a lovely pint of Summer Lightning but will not be going back. I asked the barman if there was a minimum on cards and he said no so started to run a tab but event conspired against me and had to leave after a pint. When I went to settle up I was charged 4.10!! More than central London prices. I asked why and was told they charge 50p to use the card machine, shrugged at me and walked off. Now its only 50p but I left feeling like I'd been mugged and my custom was not needed or wanted. Wonder if locals get the same treatment?

Great harbour-side pub. Can get busy for weekend lunches. Very good menu and food, and good beer. I ordered the cheese to finish off my meal and they brought delicious mountains of the stuff. The biggest chesseboard I've ever seen. I couldn't eat it all and had to stuff some in my pockets for later!
