The worst range of cask beer I've seen at a Wetherspoons in a long while - only Marstons, Ruddles and GK on? Quality OK, but the Lloyds bar in Eastbourne had a far better range. oftenscore6 - 11 Jan 2012 01:13
this pub is much better these days , the food is usual JDW fayre , great value on a budget .... their beer cant be faulted . so much better than the other JDW in eastbourne !!! 9ooner - 11 Sep 2010 21:29
When we last visited this place a few years back we thought it dreadful – both with its ASBO type dole money customers making you feel on edge together with the couldn't-care-less, curt staff serving dodgy beer and even worse food. Now, popping in for a pint on a weekday lunchtime (as before) we're pleased to say things have greatly improved – the ASBO lot are gone and the efficient, friendly staff now motivated. Although we didn't eat, even the food being served looked edible now! The rear courtyard looks like it's been extended too. Mainly elderly customers and mums with their young offspring but all seem too behave and gel together. micbinks - 1 Jul 2010 16:10
Very well kept JDW. Motivated and friendly staff. Fine range of beers all well served. Usual food but very good. Especially the breakfasts. Clean and well furnished interior. Entrance looks welcoming. Lovely rear garden. Superb toilets and NO STAIRS. Local (heavy) drinkers not a problem. southfields - 25 May 2010 14:00
Like other comments, typical Wetherspoons. Staff work hard but the atmosphere cn be unpleasant. Lots of old soaks who can't mutter a sentance without a four letter word coming out. Shame as it's central and handy. However slightly dodgy crowd. skippybn21 - 1 Apr 2010 09:36
