Saucy Kettle, Surbiton

back to pub details

user reviews of the Saucy Kettle, Surbiton

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Local beers in bottles (but not on draught) and lagers, ciders etc. Has a hard time overcoming its almost total lack of atmosphere unfortunately as they do seem to be making an effort.

I've been to the Saucy Kettle a couple of times recently after a long gap. What a nice surprise. They've now got Thai Food, the only authentic Thai in Surbiton. Great grub and lovely service. The menu's a bit short but they've just started - no complaints from me.
surbeertonian - 7 Feb 2012 22:22
I wasn't too sure about going to the Kettle, especially because i'd seen some of the reviews on beer in th evening. I didn't even know it wos open late. I actually ended up having a really good night, despite what i'v read about it. Everyone was really nice and the doormen were really pleasant. And they'v even got a DJ! Drinks were a bit more than my local, but apparently they're bigger measures. This place would be perfect if it had a proper garden and smokign area. I'm definitely gonna go again. You'd hav to go into Kingston if u wantd to drink past midnight on the weekend!
starryeyedjess - 6 Feb 2012 00:33
Why the manager Frank doesn't take a customer relations course is anyone's guess. He is past his sell by date. I know of at least five people who don't go in there any more due to his very rude manner to his regular customers. Why should anyone spend their hard earned money there, when on a Saturday night at 11pm there are four police cars and vans outside because of all the trouble, is anyone's guess. Why anyone would want to be in a pub full of drunken chavs is beyond me. We have plenty of pubs in surbiton, Frank the owner only has one.
mrsoverall - 31 Jan 2012 16:02
I'm truly shocked by some of the PERSONAL comments directed at the owners of this pub!! i have been drinking in there on and off for a number of years now and have never exprienced anything like what some of people are saying.
I tend to go in at weekends when it's busy with a younger crowd for a party atmosphere. DJ's cater for all ages and you can't fault the bar staff friendly and attentive plus they have a late license and for an older drinker like myself it's a bonus!! There have been comments about the bouncers they can be a bit over the top but they are only doing this as the pub zero tolerence on drugs i found this out one night while i was being "frisked" took a couple seconds no harm done and i was in to meet my mates for a great night... I suspect some of the comments maybe from someone who maybe is not the sort of customer you need! Lets be fair these comments are pretty personal...I've had my say check this place out as they still have the most amazing selection of beers and spirits i have ever seen in a pub!!!!
onevoice - 13 Oct 2011 15:17
Quite honestly this is the worst place Ive ever known. Anyone who works here is a total idiot and the bouncers have the biggest chip on their shoulder Im surprised there aint a giant bottle of sarsons nearby. With any luck this place will be shut down, the staff all sacked and struck off work for life and they decimate the building. And whilst their at it they get shot of the curry house next door thats had more complaints that when mary whitehouse met gordon ramsey. If i heard this gaff had been burnt down Id laugh my head off
pompeyron - 30 Sep 2011 14:47
Went here last night with some colleagues. When we tried to order our drinks the old man declared he and his "ex-wife" had decided not to serve us.
We had been quietly waiting inside for our two friends to finish smoking before ordering, but had done nothing wrong for them to come to this strange conclusion. We were not rude or loud, just happily chatting whilst waiting for everyone to be ready to choose what they wanted.
The business is going to struggle if on a quiet Thursday night they turn away groups of respectable people looking to spend some money!
Looking at these reviews I think I'm glad we weren't served, and instead went off to sample some of the other nice bars and pubs on the High Street.
If this couple don't know about customer service, you shouldn't be paying them! There are plenty of other nicer places in the area.
London87 - 30 Sep 2011 11:53
Why bother going into this pub when there are far, far friendlier pubs in the vicinity.

Any pub management that alienates two of it three clients are clearly idiots. No wonder there's no one in the pub. Shame, as it had it's plus points. Overpriced beer, customer unfriendly management, tbh how they're staying in business is anyone's guess because there's hardly ever anyone in there.

Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Too many better pubs than to deal with these plonkers.
minky_monkey - 14 Sep 2011 00:33
Staff are incredibly rude (bouncers and manager). I can not believe I've been treated like this by a company who does not have a busy pub every night. Surely the Saucy Kettle should be creating business not driving it away? Well they employ big buffoon bouncer who change their 'in' and 'out' policy as often as they change their underpants!!! when you raise concern you get told its purely a figment of your imagination!! I might be merry but I'm not stupid and I can tell the difference between good customer service and bad customer service.

Will not go to that place again.
Spartan487 - 4 Sep 2011 02:01
I don't normally write reviews on pubs as I can be too critical but having seen the previous reviews thought I would say something for this one. I recently moved to the area and went in to this pub on Friday for the first time on the way home from work for a quick drink. Based on the service I received and the general atmosphere at the pub I will be going back. The barman who served us was very friendly, attentive, and helpful (although there were very few customers there at the time). The pub was clean (including the toilets and the glasses) and much of the interior was reserved for a private party which tends to be a good sign. The beer was nicely fizzy (not always guaranteed when you try a new pub) and spirit measers were 35mls rather than the normal 25ml whilst still being reasonably priced. We also met a couple of locals who seemed friendly. Came away thinking that it was a nice pub and will be going back!
BlondeD - 11 Apr 2011 13:03
Absolutely shocking hospitality. Incredibly rude, pickled and sneering barman whose appallingly presentation is second only to his lack of manners. After last night's unbelievable rudeness, I will never cross the threshold again. Sad, dirty, unkempt little man, cannot look after his teeth or his customers...
darren_pratt - 9 Mar 2011 11:08
I'm inclined to agree with NikolaiT.

I moved into the area about 6 months ago, have been in several times over that period of time. The old boy with the missing teach who looks like he has just been dug up was rude and allusive every time I have been there. Despite the fact my friends and I spent considerable cash on booze, we sat at our own table out the back and minded our own business. Whilst I was there he also refused to serve someone a soft drink (who said he was driving) which I thought was pretty disgusting. Worse still he looked at me and tutted and mocked the guy, as if I was going to join in and I thought, don't involve me pal.

The lady with the face like thunder was not much better with me or anyone else. Apart from the huddle of greesy haired stooges that sit at the bar every night when ever I have been there or walked past. Who are also an unfriendly bunch. I felt it was very cliquey and unfriendly, lots of private jokes between the gang of alcoholic locals at the bar and the dinosaurs behind the bar.

I have only been on a week day, I did see there was a DJ booth at the back, I think the day I think a Friday or Saturday night should be spent at a dive like this is the day I decide to hang up my dancing shoes and start staying at home with a take away.

As NikolaiT said, Its not awful, you can get served, the bar is relatively empty most nights (this is probably a sign) so you can get a seat and there are tables outside for the smokers. Its clean and has a decent selection of drinks. If you've got thick enough skin to handle moody bar staff and annoying drunks at the bar, then you'll be fine.

Personally when i am spending my hard earned money, I want to feel welcomed and respected by the staff and be around nice people.

So on that basis, I have to say, don't bother with this place. I'll not be going there again.

The search continues for a nice bar in Surbiton.
friendlypunter - 27 Jan 2011 06:48
I seem to disagree with the comments below. I do not rate this pub at all and neither do my friends.

I have been a local and drinking in Surbiton for years and this is one that most stay clear of.
It isn't terrible don't get me wrong and I have been in there on a few occasions but only because others I am with have already been in there or I was forced to go. They bouncers are and always have been way to strict.
It doesn't have a pub atmosphere and just seems unfriendly. It's bizarre as where I live I have to walk past this pub to get to all the others on the highstreet but I always pass it by.

My friend used to drink here and watch the football with his brother quite often. He no longer goes there as once in the afternoon he was at a loose end and popped in. He needed to drive later that day so bought a soft drink.
The owner/barmen actually asked him to buy a proper drink or get out! He said the TV wasn't free and he needed to buy a more expensive drink if he wanted to stay!!!
Now my friend wasn't there that long and was almost a regular there. I think that service is inexcusable!
NikolaiT - 11 May 2010 19:01
Best bar in Surbiton. Not sure about the disco on a friday evening (grown out of it now) but a great selection of beers and great food with a good menu.
Excellent atmosphere too, the best sports bar in local area during the day with good punters. I recommend this place!
9/10 - would be 10/10 but they charge you money for beer.
fullersfan - 6 Oct 2009 13:04
Great food Great drinks my god i never seen a selection like it!
you will never see a better selection of alcohol in any pub you will ever visit. The landlord knows his stuff the staff are very friendly and the landlady is cute too! They even let rugrats in there wow! Nice interior lots of signed sports stuff, plenty of tv's the one's you watch not men in dresses case that's your thing. Do yourself a favour and visit this place next time your in the area....
onevoice - 6 Aug 2009 17:01
Went with a group of 8 friends on a Friday night and we were all asked for ID, even an older gentleman in our group, but that was OK as the staff were friendly enough. Lots of lager but they do also have Thatcher's Heritage Cider on tap which was a nice treat
DJ+loud music+dance floor was what we were looking for and we had a good evening here. Clean toilets. Friendly bar staff. It's alright!
goosegog - 27 Jun 2009 07:15
OK, just thought I'd add my thoughts as I've recently moved into the area, and most of these comments seem very out of date.
First, i've not seen any bouncers or door charge, though I've not been on a Saturday night. Inside, it's a smart Sports Bar with a US/sports theme and lots of boxing memorabilia mounted on the walls. It has a smallish main bar and a large seated area with big wooden chairs and tables for eating. It does easily the best pub food in Surbiton in the evenings and weekends - authentic tapas for 3-6 quid a dish, which is cooked fresh - when they ran out of analucian bean and chorizo stew the chef came out and offered to cook me a chorizo, peppers and potato dish instead( it was delicious), they've got a proper chargrill so steaks etc are excellent, I love the very more-ish home made chips, the burgers really are home made ( from meat they buy and mince themselves) and there are plenty of changing specials too.
Drinks wise, this is a lager drinker's heaven, Lowenbrau, Becks, Moretti, Peroni, Sagres, San Miguel plus the usual suspects. Only 1 bitter though, Courage Best, but it's OK. If they had a draft beer or 2, I'd make this pub 10/10.Lots of spirits & shots etc, if that's what you like.
Having young children, this pub has been a lifesaver since moving into the area. Many pubs in Surbiton - The Victoria, Surbiton Flyer, for example, don't accept children at all inside, or make out like you are diseased f you actually want to eat food withy them, here the landlord and his wife can't make you more welcome.
Show lots of sport all the time on big screens but it's not rowdy, usually this place is quiet except for big games, with regular locals creating a pleasant atmosphere.
CamdenGooner - 11 Feb 2009 14:07
Dai a question for you, it`s not a to harder one so you won`t have to think about it for too long, are you slerpys twin brother??
Beersupper - 4 Jan 2009 20:54
Dai have noted the times you`ve made your last couple of comments i would suggest you get a nice strong black coffee and take a dip in it!!
Beersupper - 4 Jan 2009 10:27
Went in last week just before the Chelski Liverpool game. Much, much nicer than I remember and the bar staff were good natured.

Usually go to a traditional Youngs or Fullers type pub but would certainly go again, infact I am going again next Tuesday.
topcat455 - 8 May 2008 17:25
Went to the Saucy for the first time last night. Fantastic. Really friendly staff on the door (Bill...he's a legend!!) and on the bar, good lively music for a bit of a boogie. Will definitely be back!!
cinders21 - 27 Apr 2008 19:05
On a small beerhunt I dropped in, generally preferring "trad" pubs, but was pleasantly surprised. Helpful and knowledgeable barman...food looked excellent and would have ordered had the kitchen not just closed (7.30?). Beck's was very good for what it is but the Lowenbrau had seen better days...all in all a jolly bar with plenty of sports screens if that's your bag. Licensee who was friendly is also the chef, I believe, so that might explain the kitchen situation.
Insearchofthebestpint - 7 Apr 2008 15:19
Very pleasantly surprised when we popped in here for a quick pint on the weekend.

I had always avoided the Saucy Kettle, as it meant straying a bit too close to the YMCA. Once in, I actually really enjoyed it. It was busy (not TOO busy), and served a nice selection of lagers, probably more than anywhere else in the local area.

Everyone seemed friendly enough, and the decor is fine. Outside seating is a bit hopeful, given it is on the main road and opposite the YMCA.
anonymous - 26 Jul 2007 18:00
Not a bad pub with lots of good lagers, it is a pity the landlord is a miserable moaning sod... Get rid of the neon american crap and the landlord and this may be the best pub in surbiton.
anonymous - 19 Jun 2007 17:27
A wide selection of beer. Nicely done out apart from the gross American Neon. Get the bouncers off the door and all is good in my opinion. It's also got the sport. I don't actually watch much in the way of sport but they have it on and it's not in your face. Can imagine it's good for parties. Just one thing get some better live music and I'll come back more often.
lightfoot - 28 Nov 2006 23:59
Definately the best selection of draught lagers in the borough, if not London. They serve my favourite, Lowenbrau on draught, but also sell the Interbrew crap Stella. Never experienced any of the hostility of the other reviewers have mentioned. I like it.
Beerloverthethird - 21 Nov 2006 22:46
they've brought back live music!!!! at last a pub in surbiton that has rock music nights!!! its taken them awhile to bring it back but it's as good as it was.... rock and indie dj with live acoustic music... perfect sunday drinking.... thank you saucy landlord.
everyonespunter - 5 Nov 2006 02:40
PROS: good beer, wide range of different drinks (5 different tequilas for example)

CONS: 'primary school'-esque plastic seats, unfriendly barstaff, shitty atmosphere, ugly decor, no or few fellow drinkers, caveman doormen, strange policies

don't know why they bother with doormen as ive never seen the place more than a 1/3rd full (?)

Basically, it's the worst pub in surbiton and is best avoided - there's no need to go there with better pubs in the area (black lion, the elm etc.)

drshit - 14 Oct 2006 23:21
This place has the potential to be a good night out, however it is severely let down by rude and pretentious management and staff. They fancy themselves as a bit of a night club with their door policy, entrance fee and expensive drinks etc, however its nothing more than a pub with a DJ.

For the past two weekend visits, (with the exception of the football) this place has been pretty empty and had a really weird atmosphere. You really feel you are being watched and feel like you should be on your best behaviour.

I'm not at all surprised to read the comments below about people being ejected for the strangest of reasons such as not sitting down or not buying enough drinks. My friend and I were ejected (only AFTER handing over money for drinks which were promptly snatched from our hands) for asking why the bar was so empty and leaning on the bar whilst talking to the barman! I fully understand and support the need for a door policy in a place like this but they are misusing it.

I think this bar will continue to become less popular whilst they continue to adopt such an attitude. We were local regulars so god knows how badly they treat others! People who live around this area tend to have lots of money to spend but obviously the Saucy Kettle doesn't need any of it. I'm surprised they stay in business when they obviously dont listen to their regular customers. Its a real shame as this place could be really nice. There are other pubs less than 2 mins from this place, all of which are happy to take your money and provide a much better atmosphere and cheaper prices without the entrance fee.

ugly_bloke - 19 Jun 2006 12:08
I'm writing in reply to everybody who seems to think this place is rubbish... you don't HAVE to go there!!
I drink there regularly and I find it to be pretty much what you need... nice efficient staff who remember what you're drinking when you go for a refill, doormen who don't let any undesirables in through the door and a decent DJ who knows how to get people dancing! What more do you need? If you're really that bothered by what a landlord who's just a bit stuck in his way says to you... I think you're just a big sissy who can't take the truth!! Get a life.
girl_likes_pubs - 17 May 2006 11:49
Myself and friends go to the saucy every couple of weeks to meet up. i agree that the way that the pub is run needs looking into BUT the staff are helpful and friendly and the beers are probably the best taste in surbiton (but not the cheapest... i guess you gotta pay for quality) and the food on a sunday is top notch. worth a visit.
everyonespunter - 15 May 2006 02:32
In response to Mr anonymous!!

The fact u said you dont like writing reviews on this site because you have "better things to do" slightly amused me somewhat, as when your lenghty reply was posted it was evident you spend alot of time reading, considering and then writing your own comments (essay)

Also you state that we bought soft drinks, which is funny because i never said that, which leads me to believe that you may actually be the landlord and would therefore, obviously, not write bad things about your pub, and only counter those who have!!

you have also left yourslef anonymous......

The fact is at the end of the day, is that we were there five minutes with some drinks, and were about to order some food, but before we had the chance the landlord gave us his contempt!! and if you think sitting quietly, drinking and watching football is not the way one should behave in a pub, then obviously our views on social graces differ greatly!!!
So thanks for your views and will take your advice on going to weatherspoons....its cheaper and lively

burkinda - 12 May 2006 18:47
friendly staff..... spot on selection of beers...... great cocktail menu..... looks like its gonna be world cup viewing in the kettle this summer.
anonymous - 12 May 2006 01:50
I call in to the Saucy Kettle around once a fortnight on my way home from work to have a few pints and catch whatever football match is showing on Sky. Other than a crowd of regulars sitting around the bar, I normally seem to have the back room virtually to myself, unless it's a particularly big match. On a purely personal level, the lager & cider is absolutely top drawer, ice cold and always in the correct designer glass and I find all the bar staff very friendly and efficient.

Looking at things more objectively though, there seems to be a huge amount of untapped potential in this place - I assume they do really well on Fri & Sat nights but there's pots of young money to be spent in Surbiton so why doesn't The Saucy Kettle seem to grab even the smallest slice of the action during the week ? I can only speak as I find, which is wholly favourable, but judging from the many negative comments posted on this site, I think the management must be absolutely crazy not to take a long hard look at what might be going wrong here - I'm afraid any business ( pub or otherwise ) that aims to be successful can't just conveniently ignore what their customers tell them - and even if they choose not to take notice of the kind of comments posted on this site, a practically empty bar most nights of the week should perhaps be telling them quite a lot of important things anyway - as Mark Twain famously once put it, " don't make the mistake of assuming the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing - it was here first !!! "

bluebird - 9 May 2006 14:21
Hello Mr Anonymous, you may have seen the previous posters being served and have a valid point - I can't comment on that.

However, I can pass judgement on this place having lived in the area for the past 28 years. Over this time (since it changed from Cars cafe) I've drunk at the Kettle, giving it an opportunity now and again as everything deserves a second chance and sometimes a third and a fourth hoping things will get better.

That said, it hasn't as far as I can see. The decor may change but the obnoxious management does not. I would suggest you'd profit more by printing off the exhaustive list of negative comments about the Saucy and showing them to the management. I think he is happy as he is however and this won't change anything, and people will still complain and you will still get upset by this.

Whether you are right about the previous posters or not, shear weight of public opinion far outweighs the two unjust incidents you witnessed, you must appreciate this.

Thanks for trying to set the record straight, but next time talk to the landlord and maybe you won't have to come here to object when two drinkers share the misfortune of all the other poor sods who thought a night out in the Saucy was a good idea.
chris.west - 9 May 2006 08:45
I come to this site to read reviews about the kettle now and again but never actually posted anything because i'm not one of those people who go on these review sites and only post bad things about the place cos they've got nothing better to do!!!

I'm responding to the working guy who went for lunchtime drink.... i was there and you were not waiting for a drink for 20 mins+ you stood betweeen the bar and the tables having a conversation and when the barman asked you if you were being served you ignored him and carried on as you were. then your "colleague" walked in and offered you a pint which you took with both pockets closed!!!!!

and now for the guys who went in to watch the football. the only reason i can think of that the landlord approached you like that is because you didn't buy drinks in the pub sense of the word you bought soft drinks the cheapest thing on the menu and savoured them for the entire footy game cos you didn't want to spend more than you had to jus so you could sit in a nice cosy pub and watch footy on a big plasma for cheap!!!

the kettle is nothing but accomodating to its punters but its the occational few like ones who have posted comments about the place because they don't know how to behave in a well outfitted public house and try to pass the buck by calling it shit service..... for all i care those people belong in the weatherspoons up the road!!!
anonymous - 8 May 2006 02:17
This place is an absolute disgrace!!!!! Went in to watch the football with a friend, bought some drinks and sat down to watch, five minutes later the "landlord" came over and whispered agressively to us to either buy more drinks or get out cause he needs to cover the cost of his sky tv!! which he informed us was 700pounds a month (not that i actually cared!!) for a start the place was dead anyway, and to treat customers like that he obviously needs to revise his management skills!!!! NEVER GO HERE....EVER, trust me!!!!! ( there are better pubs further up...the elm, victoria, the flyer, st marks tavern, weatherspoons....and even the lamb!!!
burkinda - 7 May 2006 01:27
My review is to avoid. Last time I was in there with a group from work, and it took over 20 minutes to get a pint at a lunchtime (how much time do they people have to stand around?), and that was bought by a colleague who had just walked in and been asked if he wanted anything when I had obviously been waiting for f*cking ages. Its not as if there were that many of us either. The previous time I was in there it was the same...and yet over the bar is a sign asking patrons to be nice to the bar staff!!When the staff have to ask to be treated nicely by the people they're treating like crap that says something.

My workplace is going there tonight for someone's leaving drink, but I'm not as a result of the shit service I've had in the past. I don't like being treated like a moron and I advise anyone who doesn't like it either to avoid this place.
terencechatfielduk - 28 Apr 2006 16:50
In agree ^^^
switch83 - 25 Jan 2006 16:03
This is not a bad place during the week, but does have rude and obnoxious doormen on Saturday. Best avoided.
wolverine - 15 Jan 2006 01:38
*still* the worst pub in surbiton by a country mile. used to live just 5 doors down a few years ago. went in a couple of times only to be ejected for complaining about the beer. so vetoed the place for years until revisiting with friends recently. it's not changed. four of us sitting at a table near the bar talking amongst ourselves, certainly not being loud and definitely not been abusive. the landlady sent some dodgy looking bloke over to tell us to keep it down or we'd be out. we queried this with the landlady herself and she confirmed it in no uncertain terms. can only guess that she didn't like the look of us. wouldn't piss on this place if it was on fire. 1/10 (and the 1 is being charitable)
swatto - 6 Jan 2006 15:08
Have had friends kicked out of the Saucy in the past when they wouldn't walk immediately to the bar and order but wanted to say hello to their friends first. A bit odd and we haven't been back until last weekend as a result.

It has since been done up and is now another harmogonised mass-produced downlit off-the-shelf trendy bar. Joy.
chris.west - 19 Dec 2005 16:47
A crap pub I try not to go in here if I can help it and the bar staff are very rude.
ian21260957148 - 18 Jun 2005 21:32
Had to send back 3 pints in one evening then got kick out for moaning about the beer by the drunken owener will never set foot in the place again!

Any place that Megs chooses as her local must have something going for it...maybe I will find out on my next visit

Earlham Court
Earlhamcourt - 22 Mar 2005 12:14
The worst pub in Surbiton. The beer is over priced and the bouncers are real knuckle draggers to boot. Shame it was ever changed from a burger bar.
Jim - 29 Oct 2004 15:42
It's pathetic, really pathetic. The worst pub in Surbiton, and I have the score sheets to prove it. I'd rather down white lightening in a park, and the staff are muppets.
Scotty boy - 7 Sep 2004 11:21
I was always put off by the crap name but actually it's alright when you get in and nice selection of beers, pricey but show me where isn't in this blasted town!
Jane - 17 Aug 2004 12:14
And now it's had a cracking refit - the bar is virtually unrecognisable.

They've increased the size of the venue and really concentrated on 'zoning' the place. They must have spent a tad on the cellar too - the pints in there now are ice cold - fab!

Superbly set out in two rooms, this bar should be visited or revisited the next time you're in town.
anonymous - 5 May 2004 14:43
While all else in the vicinity is succumbing to the Hogshead paradigm, the pubs along Brighton Road haven't changed in decades and this pub is no exception. Of course, this means that the Saucy Kettle is sticky, smoky, trashy, noisy and pikey... but dammit, at least it's real and I love it.
loz - 12 Mar 2004 15:40
It's a decent place, they ask for your ID just to irritate you. Still, they have Bud on tap and sell Scampi Fries.

Oh, and it doesn't get pikeys in there, even though drunken tramps and 10 inch hooped earring wearing bints hang around the YMCA opposite.
Ben - 10 Mar 2004 00:29
A great daytime/early evening bar ideal for watching sports (as we did for the Rugby World Cup).

There's two overhead projector screens, 2 TV's, a widescreen TV, and a large plasma screen showing sports from various stations.

Serves a great pint of Kronenbourg, and the selection of beers isn't too bad at all. Recommended - for the week days - definitely.

And 2 to get in?
Half empty, terrible music and 2.80 for a pint.

Often go there before a curry, very nice place. Did have a bad reputation but when I have been there recently it has been fine.

Good atmosphere, best pub in Surbiton. Always an eclectic mix of people. Good DJ on saturday night. Good for a chat or a dance. Fairly cheap for drinks & good choice. Lovely, friendly staff especially on saturday when Andrew's in!

only pub in surbiton to have a pinball table, and to combine that with bud on tap and DJ Neil, well, what more can you say ...

This pub also has ther best website, it's updated everyweek and they even have a photogallery so you can go in with your mates on a Saturday night and get your pictures taken.
