The fact u said you dont like writing reviews on this site because you have "better things to do" slightly amused me somewhat, as when your lenghty reply was posted it was evident you spend alot of time reading, considering and then writing your own comments (essay)

Also you state that we bought soft drinks, which is funny because i never said that, which leads me to believe that you may actually be the landlord and would therefore, obviously, not write bad things about your pub, and only counter those who have!!

The fact is at the end of the day, is that we were there five minutes with some drinks, and were about to order some food, but before we had the chance the landlord gave us his contempt!! and if you think sitting quietly, drinking and watching football is not the way one should behave in a pub, then obviously our views on social graces differ greatly!!!
So thanks for your views and will take your advice on going to weatherspoons....its cheaper and lively

This place is an absolute disgrace!!!!! Went in to watch the football with a friend, bought some drinks and sat down to watch, five minutes later the "landlord" came over and whispered agressively to us to either buy more drinks or get out cause he needs to cover the cost of his sky tv!! which he informed us was 700pounds a month (not that i actually cared!!) for a start the place was dead anyway, and to treat customers like that he obviously needs to revise his management skills!!!! NEVER GO HERE....EVER, trust me!!!!! ( there are better pubs further up...the elm, victoria, the flyer, st marks tavern, weatherspoons....and even the lamb!!!
