| This pub, a mecca for fans prior to a football game, is an absolute cracker. Always friendly, patient and tolerant service, a great range of real ales and lots of cosy corners. | Is it really 18 months since I visited this pub? Popped in for a couple of beers on Monday (25/04/11) to find a fantastic choice with beers from Cuerden (brewed by Bridestones), Mallinsons, Blindmans and of course Timothy Taylors Landlord amongst others. Complimentary snacks of cheese, biscuits and pickled onions were on the bar, a nice touch. | Paid my first visit to this place last night, and it's a cracker. Terrific, well-kept ale selection. Cosy, comfortable interior. Great post-matchday atmosphere - there were even some away fans still there, and everyone was good-humoured and well behaved. Music in the back room, as well. All in all, an absolutely fantastic pub.
