Enjoyed my simple meal of a bowl of chips washed down with a pint of real ale the name of which escapes me
On a very busy road so sitting outside isn’t ideal but inside is comfortable and the pub has a traditional look which make you want to stay

The Crown is another Palmer's pub, on a busy roundabout at the southern edge of Bridport. 4 of their ales were on - Dorset Gold, Copper Ale, IPA & 200. Real cider was lacking. Locals seemed like a jovial bunch. Although, some of them appeared to have been there for a while. The single room was fairly large, whilst maintaining a cosy feel.

Pleasant evening spent in the garden. Very expensive though. Try Quarterdeck in the bay for a saving of £1.75 a pint. I was sure one of the bar staff had murdered my brother in 1986 but I was wrong.

Rough pub, expensive and poorly kept beer (3.50 for Palmers Gold), did not fancy eating, I will not be revisiting.

Good pub, good food, good entertainment and quizzes! Landlord takes pride and all the staff are always polite

allthough they serve food, and pretty decent at that, unless the sun is shining and you can use the ample bench space outside, the inside of the pubhasn't set aside any area for eating, most of the room is taken up with an odd array of games tables so it's not particully comfortable as you have to just grab a space where you can, so i felt a bit like sitting with your dinner on your knees, although the food was good as was the palmers 200 I felt it was let down by the lack of decent eating area, but probably from a locals point of view that's just how they like it

Excellent local pub, friendly, family atmosphere and good music to suit different tastes on Sat nights. Good natured quiz once per month and whole range of activities during the week. Unpretentious, fairly priced food available.

Solid locals' boozer with an extensive range of Palmer's beers - including having Tally Ho on. Ideal stopping off point whilst walking between West Bay and Bridport for a swift one - overall 6/10. Quite busy late on a saturday afternoon.

Not one for the well-heeled clientele. A basic boozer that will appeal to some, not to others. Not to me, I'm afraid. Sorry.

Very pub-like. Nice atmosphere but could see improvement, particularly in the service area.

I have frequented this pub on and off over the past twelve years. Beer very hit and miss but good crowd. Prices are up to London standards! Can't afford to drink here any more. 2.90 a pint!!!
