Warsaw comes to Walthamstow in this once fine east end market pub. Now its all silver high heels and oud euro pomp music, lary drunks and the odd bust up. It's never been posh but a shame when a real jellied eels of a rubba dubba dub is given this overhaul. If you must go in try daytime you might hear the voices of distant eastender market traders and banter! Can you watch my stall mate, now it's watch your wallet!

This pub is now a nasty place, i used to go there years ago and have just been again. What can i say?
They should rename it Eurotrash.I am not racist my father is french! Its a pub for the polish and the polish only. Apart from the odd alcoholic drunk hasbeen eastlondoner.And some certain very loose woman (you know who you are lol)I wont go again.
And i also had my mobile phone stolen from my pocket that night and my friend lost her jumper.watch out for the theives!!!! They are plentyful in this pub.

I like the Cock Tavern: the people are friendly, and there is always a good atmosphere. They let dogs in as well, if you get what I mean... ha-ha! There is a nice pool table there, and I always like watching a man called Lee playing pool. He's the best I've ever seen playing, and he is gorgeous as well- what a bonus!

You lot don't know what your on about! I really love this pub. You can't beat all the fights and the bouncer is really hard. HA HA HA WHATEVER!!!!!! But at least the barmaids are fit (and they offer extras) HA HA HA!

Personally I dont like this pub. I know we have to cater for different backgrounds/races etc but I feel like this pub had forgot what country it's actually in. Tom the boss is a nice bloke but I don't like the atmosphere. I used to pop in for a quick drink every friday after work and leave early. But recently me and a few friends always go there when the pubs shut because the Cock has a late licence. As soon as you walk in you feel like all eyes are on you. They only cater for the lithuanian and polish customers which I don't think is right. Fair enough play music that everyone likes and requests but people need to remember not to ignore the english people when they ask for songs. I saw a review that said *It doesn't matter who you are...* It does. Personally I don't care if people don't like us drinking in there but for god sake remember where you are. This pub is slowly being taken over and soon there will be no english people. I am not being racist I have 4 turkish friends who used to go in there and they stopped for the same reason. As for the barmaids they are perfect for the pub. They ignore us when we want drinks and would rather sit there and flirt with there friends than concentrate on serving the original drinkers of walthamstow.

There's been a pub on this site since the 1700s, but you can't really feel the history. It hasn't got as nice a feel to it as the other Market pub, Chequers, but I do hope it gets better.

I used to drink in here in the early/mid 80's. The beer used to be 10p dearer in the 'posh' side! There was a gorgeous barmaid called Jo back then.

this pub is cool! open til 2am at the weekends! a decent pint served by cute lithuanian barmaids xxx doesnt matter if your black, white, yellow or brown, gay or disabled, you will not get attitude! plus the food served by tommy tucker can not be beat! it used to be sad but the new boss has turned it around nicely!
