The Royal Sovereign, Eastbourne
After seeing that the place had changed hands I popped in with a couple of friends, still kinda scruffy looking but they're obviously working on it. Had a couple of pints of London Pride and although its not my favourite it was well kept. Had the all day breakfast which did exactly what it said on the tin, pub menu with reasonable prices. I'll definately be back especially if they put a larger range of ales on.

Slerpy is correct that the 'best bar none' is for customer safety which is an achievment if rumours about the area are to be believed. I've just checked and The ship of fools is also cask marque accredited so the beer is in excellent condition, this is checked annually. I'll definately pop in if I'm in the area.

Glad things are going well again, I ran this place for an independant chain a good few years ago, might pop in now things have turned around again.

The Counting House, Eastbourne
Love this pub in the summer, can't wait to experience the open fires in the winter. The staff are always friendly and the beer's always good. Quick note to Booze_Allen, I'm not 100% sure but think the White Gold might be a Weiss Beer, hence the cloudyness. Also can't wait try the food as the menu looks good and a bit different. Jam night on a thursday is probably the best in town.

You're going to say that I'm biased because I work here but I'm not going to argue any particular facts. I am personally upset that so many of you have had bad experiences at the pub and would like you to give us the benefit of the doubt and pop in. Our plus points are that we're cask marque accredited, have at least four cask beers on in all but the most extreme circumstances and have scored 90 and 100% in our last two mystery shopper visits.

The Half Moon, Warninglid
Is this pub still owned by Mark and Chris White? Is Matt still the chef?
