The English Rose, Luton

Wonderful pub, Superb beer, excellent pub grub, well worth the short walk from the station.

The Bricklayers Arms, Luton

Wonderful pub, superb beer, now includes a mild, top landlady and very friendly and helpful barstaff. When we've been on a long away day watching Luton, it's always great to get back to the brickies.

The Half Moon, Hitchin

Visited on the weekend of the beer festival, so not quite sure how many handpumps but I guess about four. I drank the beer from the festival and from the bar all in excellent condition. The landlord is very friendly, definitely will be visiting again.

The Strathmore Arms, St Pauls Walden

Superb pub with two regular ales, Woodforde Wherry and Fullers London Pride, and three guest ales. The chalk board tells you about the up and coming ales. The landlord is very friendly and tops your beer up without having to ask. There is a big beer garden. Well worth a visit.

The Lower Red Lion, St Albans

I read the bad reviews below so I thought I'd have to go and see for myself. The pub is still superb, the beer was in excellent condition, 6 real ales and 1 real cider, the service was also first class. Still well worth a visit.

The Black Horse, Luton

I'd put this pub as one of three good pubs in Luton the others being the Bricklayer Arms and the English Rose. Good quality real ale, wooden floors and a real fire. They have a rock night once a month. Good pub to go to before going to watch Luton Town as it's only 15min walk to the ground.

The King William IV, Cockernhoe

This pub is ok, beer quality varies. The pub is actually in Hertfordshire.

The Boot, Weymouth

I visit Weymouth just to go to this pub. It is real ale heaven. You won't find a better pint of Ringwood. The landlord is very enthusiastic about his beer, and gives a warm welcome. It's just wonderful to sit and listen to the locals with a pint of Ringwood in a beautiful old pub. Ten out of Ten.

Wigmore Arms, Luton

Estate pub, Good selection of real ales, unfortunately bar staff lack the knowledge to serve one of these good selection of real ales properly. I agree it is a magnet for the local chav element. I won't be using this pub on a regular basis.
