| I'd put this pub as one of three good pubs in Luton the others being the Bricklayer Arms and the English Rose. Good quality real ale, wooden floors and a real fire. They have a rock night once a month. Good pub to go to before going to watch Luton Town as it's only 15min walk to the ground. tophatter64 - 25 Dec 2006 11:55 |
| One of only two good pubs in Luton, the other being the Bricklayers Arms, shame that they're on opposite ends of the town centre. Great beer, a pool table which is an option when its very quiet (otherwise a waste of time). The H.Metal owners are affable enough (as they, and gothic rockers tend to be) and a friend of mine claims to have spotted some girl on girl snogging behind the bar... which, if true, must've upset the CAMRA subscribing clientele somewhat. | Cosy one room CAMRA heaven. Hidden behind the Regent Street multi storey. Music to suit the clientele.Vast beer selection well kept. They even had Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Porter on draught the evening we were there. Very friendly owner who loves his beer and seems to know what he is keeping. Does anyone know the names of his other pubs? They would be all worth a visit. Well worth the train fare from Sussex. qpp1963 - 28 Nov 2005 18:03 |
| 5 Beers on handpumps & 1 cider from polypin behind the bar. mikebrady - 25 Oct 2005 11:43 |
| Excellent small pub, five real ales all in very good condition, the young, keen, landlord is putting a lot of effort into this pub and is winning more and customers. Prompt courteous service, beer tasters if asked for. Perfect! bonzoid0 - 23 Oct 2005 15:29 |
