The Monarch, Chalk Farm

Loads of live music on here with some great bands. Much much better in there now than when it used to be the Misty Moon! Worth a pint during a Camden pub crawl!

The Lock Tavern, Camden

Lovely pub with heated garden, roof terrace (overlooking market), 2 bars with sofa's and lamps etc. Really cozy with good homemade pub grub (burgers and pies etc). Toilets are small and smelly but it looks like an old building with little room for any improvements. Loads of free live music nights with top notch bands and DJ's. Weekends are silly busy so mid week is the best. Bar staff a touch unfriendly but much better service here compared to other pubs in the area. Ale's were all on when I went last week! Have a look for yourself......

The Proud Gallery, Camden

Have some ok nights on here but service is terrible! Great space and very inventive use of some old horse stables. Really miss the market though!!!
Worth checking out early week when it's a bit quieter.

The Hawley Arms, Camden

Funny little pub, good to see all the press has calmed down about this place. Really helped now that Winehouse isn't drinking here as much! This pub is pretentious but in quite a charming way. Worth a visit and they've done a great refurb job after the fire.

The Prince Albert, Camden

Quite an awful experience!

Bar staff were pretty bad with no enthusiasm or sense of urgency.

Nice selection of Ale's but badly kept! It's first time i've had to get a refund on an ale in London and i've lived here for 6 years!

Weird atmosphere as if the clientele had been paid to be there, very sterile!

Won't bother stopping here again!

The Greyhound, Kensal Green

Great diner now! Don't really miss the Greyhound to be honest.

The Lost Hour, Greenwich

Looked at a flat near this pub so popped in for a pint.

Not too bad but it was quiet when I was there. Toilets were crap!

Probably go there regularly if I end up moving to the area though!

The Amersham Arms, New Cross

Was looking at buying a flat in New Cross and stopped here for lunch between viewings.

Nice little pub with a laid back friendly vibe in the very small front bar. Spotted a billiards table but looked out of action, don't see many of those anymore!

Grabbed a homemade pie and mash and thought it was really good - great value for money at only 6 - although a bit more gravy would've been nice.

Massive area around the back of the pub which was closed but posters said they've got bands and DJ's playing at weekends.

Might end up being my local soon!

Doggetts Coat and Badge, Southwark

Worth stopping here during your walk along the Thames. Always have very well kept Ale in here - bit weird upstairs with a sports bar on the 1st floor but table football is always fun and generally a nice crowd.

Child friendly too so great place to go when you've got the kids with you!

The Blue Eyed Maid, Borough

This place is ok for a quick drink. Toilets are terrible though - probably worth holding on until the next pub!

The Prince Albert, Notting Hill

The staff aren't the best but there's something about this pub that makes me go back again and again.

Great selection of draught and open kitchen with great looking food, although i've bever eaten here!

I prefer this place early week when it's quieter - staff are quite chatty but a touch too cool for school.

Try it and see what you think!

The Defector's Weld, Shepherds Bush

Went in here on Friday and was pleasantly suprised. A friend had said they'd had a terrible encounter with rude doormen here but the guys we were met by were polite and professional (found out later that it's a brand new door team!).

The bar was packed and it took 10 mins to get served but the staff seemed efficient and were just busy.

Drinks were a little pricey but that tends to be the deal if you want to drink in a nice pub. They had a DJ playing some party tunes and the crowd seemed to be loving it.

Smoking area out the back was rammed but was quite cosy and better than nothing. Got chatting to a couple of randoms and had a laugh while polluting my lungs!

Found a nice booth near the back of the pub and ended up getting very pissed and braved the dance floor.

Will be going back next time i'm in west London.

The Elbow Room, Bayswater

Went here when some mates came up to visit. Ignored the pool and played card drinking games in the bar area. Staff were a good laugh and were chatting to us during the night. Stuff the pool just go in for a drink.

The Worlds End, Camden

This place is alright, worth a stop if you're out in Camden. Staff have always been polite when i've been in!

Bar Rumba, Soho

Good little place and back up venue if you go out in central London. They have different nights ranging from cheese to RnB so make sure you know whats on before heading down. Always have a good night here though!

Start the Bus, Bristol

Stayed in Bristol for a romantic weekend with my girlfriend and stumbled in here on a Wednesday evening.

Great music, friendly staff and comfy seats.

Got a bit too comfy and ended up eating here and then staying until closing time.

Will go back if I travel to Bristol again.
