sam smiths , cheap & old skool.

The Coborn Arms, Bow

excellent boozer.
with pubs closing down all the time in London it's a huge result that pubs like this still exist.
one of the best pubs in the east end.

The Three Colts, Buckhurst Hill

Nice little drinker.
few people like to have a good drink early doors on saturday but a very tidy little boozer.
have a few liveners in here before hitting the playa's lounge.

The North Star, Leytonstone

excellent old school boozer.
used to be my local 15 years ago and hasn't really changed much in that time.
none the worse for it.
what a true london pub should be like.

The White Hart, South Woodford

agreed. absolute hovel.
considering the hundreds of new flats being built round here, you would have thought someone would make a killing by giving the pub a complete refurb.
it is mostly empty and dying on it's arse.

maybe they'll tear it down and stick even more flats where it stood.

The Red Lion, Leytonstone

used to be a half decent boozer when it was the red lion.
now taken over by south africans.
don't go there.
full of lary, aggressive and ignorant south africans funnily enough.
not a good change for the area.

The Rose and Crown, Woodford Green

lots of old boys up the ramp.
don't go there if you want to meet any ladies.
as mentioned below it's more of an old skool pub.
the lower bar still has only a gents toilet.lol.
fine for a local slurp away from those noisy youngsters and their pop music.

The Cuckfield, Wanstead

it's been open a good while.
Is it that difficult to sort out the service when the pub is busy ?
they will take even more money behind the bar IF YOU EMPLOY EXTRA OR QUICKER BARSTAFF !!!

i know of at least a dozen to 20 people who have been a few times but won't go back until this is sorted out.

it ain't rocket science.

The Railway Bell, South Woodford

as mentioned below. cheap beer , pool table , good football pub , mainly west ham but a few totts n gooners as well.
juke box , quiz machines.
pubs by stations are usually a bit dicey but the railway bell is a decent boozer.

lot of the older generation in there for the cheap meals and beer during the day , so it hasn't priced out the local community like most of the poncy chain / gastro pubs normally do.

The Freemasons Arms, Hampstead

warm lager , no guinness on when we went.
a portion of chips with our food amounted to 18 , yes 18 chips, how much are potatoes for goodness sake.
service a bit slack.
won't rush back.
