The only thing that puts me off this pub is being able to smell the toilets wherever you are. Quite obvious a lot of the patrons are on drugs and the staff don't appear to bat an eyelid. Ales seem to be very well looked after. Never had to return a pint and yes, Carl is a brilliant guy.

Used to be a motor garage until the motor car fell into decline after WW2. Several unexploded Austin-Healeys are rumored to still lie underneath the pub!

Another bonus is the Landlord Carl who has a lovely arse.

This is a decent enough place for a station pub and the Guinness I had was well served.

There are two hand pumps, one of which was serving up Pride and the other was unused during my visit. There is a pool table and a dartboard along with some plasma screens and Sky Sports. There is also a paved beer garden out the back with some covered seating.

I wouldn’t make an effort to return here, but it would relieve some of the anger if the tube was screwed and I had to wait around for a while.
