I understand that Melissa Cole knew nothing about this advertised evening, and the talk from the manager about her being ill was utter rubbish. Just an excuse to cover his incompetance.

A good pub, shame there appears to be a shift in attitude by the owners. Its a bit "hardcore" for me (think of a slightly fluffier Slaughtered Lamb), but well worth a visit if you like real ale.

I hear that this pub is closing very soon for a period of time whilst alterations are made to the kitchen. Hopefully the swearing fraternity will have moved on by then (of course this means that one of the other local pubs is going to suffer).

Three Horseshoes Inn, Sidlow Bridge
Not a bad place to pop in for a beer, but sadly there is too much from the big brewers on sale here (Fullers and Youngs predominate). The food is good though.

Great weekend here, with loads of excellent bands playing and plenty of Dark Star beers to drink as well. One of the best pubs in a very good area for pubs.

A great pub, wonderful beer and a landlord who knows his stuff. He doesn't suffer fools, which is why some of the comments here have been a bit rude. But if he stops idiots driking here, then that is fine with me.

The Red Bar has a lot of appeal - good food, good beer, good customers. It doesn't get everything right (staff are a bit hit or miss), but a good place to chill out.

Probably the best best for beer in Dorking. Very friendly landlord as well.
