| I passed by this pub to-day; it is closed with the windows boarded up. I don't know what the plans are for it but presumably it will be demolished eventually and flats or houses built on the site. wyndham - 17 Jul 2008 19:34 |
| A pub with a large frontage and car park, at the far end of Hook Broadway. There appears to be 2 bars but the left hand one was closed for redecoration. The other was moderately comfortable with a small children's area at the far end. Decoration a bit tacky with green/blue flashing lights around the door and children's area. Left over from Christmas? Despite having 7 lagers, there was only 1 cask ale available, Courage Best on an unmarked pump. A sign of the times, I suppose.
