The Harbourside Inn, Charlestown

Unfortunately they have no idea of the weights and measures act. Living very close to here and we love the location very sad to report that the bar staff have completely ignored the law of the land and serve fortified wine in 25ml measures rather than what is stated in the regs.
I am a personal licence holder and take great exception to being ripped off!

was so interesting to find the pubs latest staff member at another local pub trying to find alternative employment, must be a record, 4 days and deciding to look elsewhere!!!!!!

The Duke Of Cumberlands Head, Clifton

had an evening there recently, my pork escalope was only just cooked, which is fine but the side veg had obviously been hanging about for hours, mush to say the least.
as the youngest person as a customer in the bar, (Im 45) even I didn't appreciate the drum and bass influence of the choice of music, not likely to be going back very soon which is a shame as I have enjoyed meals here in the past

hope the sale off of all the pubs fixtures and fittings goes well and the new people taking over actually contribute positively to village life

The Fox and Hounds, Whittlebury

The Pheasant Inn, Brill

old rougue and anonymous hit on one huge problem, lack of attentiveness by staff. I have been to this pub tonight and the lack of care from the young lady behind the bar to look after the business was frankly not great. two or three regulars in the bar while the outside area had at least 5 tables with previous customers detritous left is appaling. maybe Im being hard on her but the management team need a kick up the tush for allowing it to happen

mr cut and paste is obviously having lots of fun in his tiny deluded head, I'm sure that the men in white coats aren't that far behind him!!!!!!!

obvious delusions of grandeur, probably by the lease holder the last statement, Im sure that the emptiness of the premises on an on-going basis say it all. Take nickdavies advice and float on by

The Trout Inn, Wolvercote

took my stepdaughter, her friend and my other half for a birthday celebration meal, great venue, staff were pretty good but my oh my were we dissapointed in the food. 2 vegetarians in our group and not a decent choice. such a shame as if they had a little fore thought it could be so much better. Shant be darkening their doorstep again for food, might eventually venture there for a drink beside the river although there are a lot of other riverside venues in Oxfordshire I will investigate before returning

The Red Lion, Steeple Aston

took the other half here, had a pleasant meal which was spoilt at the end by the pub dog emerging from the commercial kitchen. not too sure how the local EHO would take to this, it didnt phase the landlord or any of the locals sat around the bar as though this was a regular occurence.
shant eat here again, which is a pity because we had enjoyed the meal
