| We attended the first pub quiz night last Thursday and loved it. Finally, a pub quiz in our own village. Admittedly the questions were too easy (eg: how many sports in a triathlon) and the quiz would be much better if they were harder, but aside from this, it is the first time in a long time that the pub had a great pub feel to it, and I am sure the questions will improve with time. The beer was lovely, the pub was nice and warm, and the four leggeds were also allowed. The quiz will apparently become a weekly event, which is great. Also, if you are looking up the pub's website to find any details, don't. You will probably just get the out of date website (there are apparently a few of these up on the www), which does not give the right number and doesn't provide up to date details. So it's probably best to use the details on this website to get in touch to find out about start times etc. (I know because I spent quite a bit of last thursday day calling the wrong number, just so I could find out when the pub quiz was to start.) | This pub is now under new management, the lease has been taken on by a couple from a nearby village. The Kings Head has a lot of potential and has been a very successful in the past. So watch this space! acs57 - 13 Jul 2009 11:05 |
