The Tom Cobley, Spreyton

I booked a night here after a friend recommended it - 20 real ales on tap with about 5 of them dark, all at prices I could only half believe! The locals are very welcoming too, not like some village pubs I've tried

The Radnor Arms, Kensington

Great beer, very good staff and friendly locals. That'll do for me

The Bricklayers Arms, Brentford

The crowd at the bar may seem intimidating at first glance but don't be put off as I haven't seen any chavs in my (admittedly) few visits. The food is great value for money and is slightly different from the normal pub food - I had Japanese Pork and it was very tasty. The Green King IPA was pretty decent too!

The Lord Nelson, Brentford

I mainly go here for lunch as the burgers are just fantastic. They keep a decent pint of Pride too

The Magpie and Crown, Brentford

A free house with 4 guest ales on virtually all of the time, all kept in perfect condition by Steve - he certainly knows how to keep a cellar.

The Brewery Tap, Brentford

They know how to keep a decent pint here. If you like your ale and appreciate music, particularly the jazz on Thursdays, then you should try it out. I've also lunched here and will do again.

The Weir Bar and Dining Room, Brentford

I'm new to the area and have tried this place 3 times. On my last visit I couldn't drink my pint of Pride as it didn't taste right and the bar staff said 'so?'. It didn't help that it had been through a cooler, I suppose. On the same night one of the friends was drinking lager and also said it tasted bad - it isn't often you hear that! Finally, while I think that the area is lacking in choice when it comes to food I wonder if they really expect people to pay these kind of prices for any length of time.
