The Offside Bar, Islington

I went to Offside on Sunday for the England Ecuador game. It was the first time Ive been and I was impressed. Its basically a sports bar with TVs for every standing or seating position in the house. However, it also has the added angel touches with the black white photos giving it a real retro feel. At half time everyone piled outside to drink in the sun and the atmosphere was great. Good beer on tap and food too (although didnt try any). I will be going back to watch the next game on Saturday, and Im not even from Angel.

Cuba Libre, Angel, Islington

Went last night intending to take advantage of happy hour(s) only but ended up staying to eat due to the great atmosphere, great food at great prices (15 for two of us to eat). Authentic feel and staff are all native spanish speaking, pleasant and willing to help. Cant rate it enough, will def go back soon.

Cuba, Leamington Spa

Great Bar. Cool decor and theme, very cool place to hang out. Great food, try the ribs.

The Voodoo Bar, Leamington Spa

The best bar in Lem, used to go all the time when at uni. Great Decor and atmosphere, excellent in the summer to stand outside. Good for girl spotting.

The Black Horse, Elton

Great pub. Do a mean jacket potato. Beer garden outside is great in the summer.

Woodman, Peterborough

Good for post-round drinks and the beer garden in the summer. Food is good and service too.

Boathouse, Peterborough

One of the best pubs in Peterborough. Great in the summer for sitting outside with views over the rowing lake/access to Ferry Meadows. Always popular and plenty of pretty girls around. Food is good too.

The Regent, Balham

looks pretty shabby outside but is a good pub inside. wooden floors, pretty clean and loads of space. great for watching the footy as it gets busy but can still see the large screens. like it.

The Bedford, Balham

Been once but liked it a lot. Its a clapham style place with the usual young pros and pretty girls. Comedy night and disco offers that bit more to make it a great pub. Also if you live in streatham its an easy walk for a good night out. Missed out on tickets to disco as people tend to stay in there after the comedy night, they're both in a seperate room to the pub.

Revolution, Clapham

I think this place is good at first, but going back a few times it gets boring. Conveniently over the road from Infernos if you're having a late one though. Shots and cocktails are pretty good. Two floors means it gets plenty of people in. Entrance fee to pay, but not a surprise.

The Rising Sun, Blackfriars

If you like busy old man pubs full of suits on a friday night then this is your place. Good atmosphere and pretty swift service, quite compact.

Ochre, St Pauls

Nice vibe to this place. Great retreat on a friday after work. Generally a good bar. Not much more to say.

The Horse and Groom, Streatham

Better on the inside than out. Great for watching the footy or rugby, or both as there are so many screens. Clean, colourful and newish decor. Best seats in the house are as you walk in facing the big screen with the pint glass stands on the arms. Nice looking bar maids. Random events such as Polish disco gets extra marks..

The Crispin, Moorgate

How did this get 6/10 as a rating? If you like a smoke aroma to your suit within 5 mins of stepping in somewhere then come on down..

i'd give it 4/10 for serving a reasonably priced pint, not being a pretentious bar, and having a function room downstairs which is of some use for the office above.

The Boathouse, Putney

I went on friday night and liked it. Very Busy but the location is great. Wooden floors and basic decor, not much seating. Will be perfect in the summer looking over the river. Didn't find ordering too much of a problem despite it being rammed with people on the ground floor. Haven't sampled the food. Would go again.

Baroque, Streatham

Great bar. Big sofas, dark decor, cool lighting, great food at cheap prices, nice barmaids... are we really in Streatham? The best around for sure.

The Evangelist, Blackfriars

Very good bar. We tend to go most friday nights. Plenty of space with good beers available, however the white beer Kroney is not a steal at 4.50 a pint.

The Water Poet, Shoreditch

Its between a bar and a pub with a nice atmosphere and on the way to Brick Lane. Great Barmaid!

The Southwark Tavern, London Bridge

Worth going if you like a pint of Frulli (virtually snakebite and black). Have watched football here with good view of TV and sofa to perch on. Will go again.
