A Review of 2 Halves …. A Pub that has FREE quality live music is held in VERY high esteem in my eyes. In this day and age they are becoming far too few. The Bedford is a great music venue, intimate, outstanding sound quality and the music side of the pub runs like clock work … More than can be said about the rest of it ….. Sadly the Bedford falls flat on its face when you get to the bar to TRY and order a drink. The staff are slow, unaware and appear disinterested, traits that the Bar Manager seems to hold dear too. He was all too happy to slouch in the corner chatting to 2 staff members while the thirsty punters were 4 deep at the bar being ignored. In short … Go for the music …. Then go drink somewhere they care and you can get served MUSIC 9/10 BAR 3/10 Hods100 - 24 Aug 2011 10:59

Freezing cold room and we had to wait an hour after ordering our food for it to appear. Not recommended. janedent - 11 Dec 2010 17:37
Last time i was here was just over a year ago for a comedy gig and as an entertainment venue i think it's pretty good, nice and close to public transport links. the beer was pretty good, a bit pricey for what i was used to at the time but then the pub itself is a nice place with open fires, beer (smokers) garden. on the few occasions i'd been i found it very hectic and the staff were able to cope reasonably well. womble8t2 - 21 Apr 2010 14:44
