The Black Bear Hotel, Wareham

Grand Hotel, full of character, and charm. All the staff were very charming and helpful. Met some locals which kept my husband and myself entertained while enjoying our drinks, my husband enjoyed a pint of their quest ale which was 'Sweet Chariot'. Can tell the ales are well kept in this hotel, because it was full of flavour. The landlady showed me, her newly refurbed rooms which were spectacular, the rooms are all en-suite, some with four poster beds, and all different colours. Well worth a visit.

The Duke Of Wellington, Wareham

lovely drinking and eating pub, all the staff were friendly and everything was well priced. Nice log fire, which really brings character to this pub. I was very happy sitting in this pub, eating my meal and chatting to some off the locals about Wareham and the different pubs in wareham. Well worth a visit.

The Antelope Inn, Wareham

Small, charming little pub, however badly decorated in my opinion, lost its history, and warmly feeling. Staff behide the bar, were dressed scruffy, and not pleasent to myself and husband when we spoke to them. shocked to see they charge over 3.50 a pint after 11'o'clock. No wounder they are not that busy, and it is not as if the bear tasted that good anyway. This place needs some good TLC. I guess this place is for more of the younger generation but I can not see them being happy paying that much money just to drink in there after 11'o'clock, it is not like they are the only pub or hotel in Wareham.
