Decided to give it a go, being as it was now in the Good Beer Guide. Ringwood Fortyniner was very good, and £2.80 a pint. However, this was overshadowed by the bar being occupied by what appeared to be ( in looks and behaviour) Warehams wino/dosser contingent. Twelve year old 'barman' oblivious or ignoring the fact that they were upsetting customers, including us, who had to resort to telling one of their number to s@# off. Glanced through window while passing a day or so later. Same crowd still there. CAMRA will be informed...

Lots of interesting little rooms. Beer good.

quite a big hotel , great food and the staff were really helpful and had a good sense of humour. i stayed there with my wife and kids and the rooms were well decorated and low priced, the lagers and ales were exceptionally good and the fosters went down to £2.50 a pint. one thing that was a bit weird was that one of the bar staff had a council haircut and looked like frankenstein.

Grand Hotel, full of character, and charm. All the staff were very charming and helpful. Met some locals which kept my husband and myself entertained while enjoying our drinks, my husband enjoyed a pint of their quest ale which was 'Sweet Chariot'. Can tell the ales are well kept in this hotel, because it was full of flavour. The landlady showed me, her newly refurbed rooms which were spectacular, the rooms are all en-suite, some with four poster beds, and all different colours. Well worth a visit.

This place could be good but groan what a disappointment. We went in on a very busy wet Sunday. The pub is in the Good Beer Guide. Two youngsters wearing black shirts behind the bar - never a good sign.

Took the only available table not covered in people's half-left meals - near the window but close to a loudspeaker playing very loud radio / adverts. i asked the barman to please turn it down. Five mins later still blaring in our ear so I just turned the set off at the mains. Ringwood Best bitter so cold that I left half of it.

I haven't been in here for 20 years or more - it will be probably that long again. There are better pubs in Wareham. A generous 5 / 10 this time.
