| A nice old building, which is located at the bottom of the town. All the staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. The landlady seemed to be very pleasent and was also friendly to myself and my other half. Had a lovly meal which tasted great and also looked it. There is also a pool table now at the back and some darts boards. This hotel will be scoring highly from me. Martin_Bull - 31 Jan 2009 20:01 |
| Very lovely Hotel, the food is great and cooked the way you like it. The landlord and landlady are very pleasent. This hotel has a selection of lovely rooms available to stay it.There is also a great selection of tasty ales here, which always taste nice. I recommened a visit because it is well worth it. | Nice for a drink as this place has bags of character and good ale. New owner/manager seems like a decent bloke. This place has a lot of potential as a hotel but it is very run down and in serious need of a refurb. Rooms are not so much dirty as just f****ed. Hopefully a refit will be sooner rather than later as it would get a much higher rating. thehonesttruth - 7 Jul 2008 22:59 |
| For accommodation; The welcome was warm and the staff helpful but our room was shabby with peeling paint. The owners have only been there 6 months and promise a refurb. It doesn't have its own parking and the roads around are all limited to one hour during the day, or else you pay in a car park.Good central location. jillk - 31 May 2008 19:54 |
| Very friendly ,in an interesting building.Three ales on,which can be served a bit too cold but for service alone worth a high score. Henners - 23 Mar 2008 13:00 |
