The Princess Louise, Holborn

This pub still has it soul - not an easy thing to find now. It is one of the best samuel smiths pubs and i would recommmend this to anyone who wants to see what old pubs used to be like before they got grotty carpet and smoke stained wall paper.

I love this pub.

The Filo (First In Last Out), Hastings

love this place...small, often ram packed in the evening but i would never change anything about it.

Micro brewery with excellent home beers, wonderful beer festival a few times a year.

We end up here every single time we are back in hastings.

Kings Head, Mayfair

I am a fan of the Nicholson's chain of pubs...i recommend doing one of their crawls to see some great hidden gems.

They are consitantly priced so for Mayfair this place is a bargin. Its brilliant in summer with the windows all folding back to open up inside and stop it getting stuffy. And with awnings and heaters outside its good for the winter smoker as well.

Good range of ales with guest ale changing regularly and and board telling you whats coming next so you wont miss out.

Good restaurant upstairs which i have to say surprised me with the quality and price of the food....brilliant.

Also a cellar bar down stairs which can be hired out for functions.

all in all a great find if your in the area.

Sir Michael Balcon, Ealing

Its a weatherspoons.... you are never going to get the best service or the best clientel but its not bad as wetherspoons go.

Mid week its ok for a drink if you dont want to break the bank but friday and saturday night the bouncers come out which gives you an idea of what to expect. Its full of students and cheap drink. Mind you the only trouble i have ever seen there was actually a middle aged man who should have known better.
But then i have avoided being there for closing time on a weekend.

I think the term "you get what you pay for" applies perfectly here.

The Kings Arms, Ealing

I had been to the pub prior to it being done up and would never have gone out of my way for it but now this is the best pub in Ealing.

Hidden away from the main drag, mainly a student free zone, good food, well laid out and reasonable selection of lager and beer. Its worth the effort to search it out.

The staff are friendly, the pub clean and bright and compared to some other pubs in Ealing its well priced.

The perfect place for a quiet drink, to watch the sport or spend the evening with friends.

The Bree Louise, Euston

Just had lunch and the Bree Louise for the first tme - i cannot recommend the food here highly enough. Home made pies - just as they should be. Helpful and friendly staff.

And if you like real ale i seriously don't think there is a better pub nearby that could complete with the range they have on offer - 10 real ales.

Highly Recommended
